This is loosely based on the real life of Bounty Hunter Domino Harvey, played pretty well by the lovely Keira Knightley. Most of the film is shot in the very Tarentino style of flashback as Domino is questioned by an FBI agent played by the woefully under used Lucy Liu. The film follows the life of Domino from childhood to her arrest and whoever made this film had definitely seen FAR too many Tarentino films for their own good.
The film is a the story of 3 bounty hunters who get involved in several double crosses over the theft of money, implication of the wrong people for that theft, staged but fake killings of those people and another double cross to involve the Mafia and FBI.
The film and it's various double crosses are far too complex and as such this is why the film is almost an hour too long. It could be cut very easily but the director was determined to play out all the various plot lines to their conclusions no matter what happened and how much he bored the viewers of this movie in the process of doing so.
The action is good and the performances are generally very good, Knightley & Mickey Rourke are excellent however Chris Walken is totally miscast as the director of the reality show. The ending is very weak due to the excessive length of the piece. With an hour cut out, this film could be good (it clearly wasn't cut for pacing at all).
I would have cut out the whole Mafia connection and kidnapping of the 4 first ladies and gone right to the delivery of the money (also cutting the sequence with the mescaline & the priest). With a decent amount of cutting this stands a chance of being a good movie.
