I bought this ex-rental from Blockbuster recently as my hubby likes Kiera Knightly.
It is a story of Domino Harvey, the model turned bounty hunter, daughter of Lawrence Harvey, British actor.
Domino is played by Kiera Knightly who is very harsh and firey in this film.
The film starts with Domino talking to an FBI agent (Lucy Lui), presumably she has been arrested for something but at this time we do not know what. Domino goes on to tell her story, how she was a bit of tom-boy and how her mother left her at a boarding school in England when her father died, which Domino was expelled from. Her mother then moved to the USA where Domino found an advert in a paper for a bounty hunter seminar. She went along and it was a bit of a scam.
Meeting with the person running the seminar, Ed Moseby (Micky Rourke), Domino ends up joining his team much to the disgust of his right hand mand Choco (who insists on speaking Spanish even though no one understands him, played by Edgar Ramirez). The team run around swinging their guns and taking people who have skipped bail back to the cops so they can charge them.
Domino loves her job and is very good at it until she gets involved in a robbery of $10,000 which, unbeknown to her, belongs to the mob.
Everything goes a bit hazy now, and is quite confusing but they end up in a tower in a massive shooting match after initially trying to return the money to the mob and being decieved by one of their team.
At the end of the film it is unclear what happens to Domino as the FBI agent completes her enquiries. We know in real life Domino Harvey was found dead in her bath but this isn't incorporated as obviously it's inappropriate.
I'm finding it very hard to write about this film because quite honestly the story of Domino Harvey's life isn't portrayed very well and the constant flashbacks are not consistant and easily watched. To me this film was an excuse to have a bit of a gun fight and throw their weight around. I wouldn't recommend buying it or renting it but if it's on TV give it a go.
Certificate - 15 This is a film only review
***A big big warning to everyone who rents the movie though the first trailer is of SAW II and it is horiffic, I believe it shouldn't be on there and should be classed as an 18 Cert.***

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.

Interesting review but probably not a great one to review if you have no idea what happened, unless you explain why, or to give away the ending of the film :o)
