(2006): Dr. Michael Glass (Morrissey) a respected London criminal psychiatrist is brought in by Scotland Yard detective Roy Washburn (Thewlis) to perform a psychiatric profile and evaluation of novelist Catherine Tramell (Stone) following the mysterious death of a top sports star. Physically drawn to Tramell and mentally intrigued by her Glass is quickly sucked into her web of lies and seduction. The professional boundaries between Glass and Tramell are obliterated when she uncovers his basic instincts... Fracture (Dir. Gregory Holbit) (2007): When Ted Crawford (Anthony Hopkins) discovers that his beautiful younger wife Jennifer (Embeth Davidtz) is having an affair he plans her murder...the perfect murder. Among the police arriving at the crime scene is hostage negotiator Detective Rob Nunally (Billy Burke) the only officer permitted entry to the house. Surprisingly Crawford readily admits to shooting his wife but Nunally is too stunned to pay close attention when he recognizes his lover whose true identity he never knew lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Although Jennifer was shot at point blank range Nunally realizes she isn't dead. Crawford is immediately arrested and arraigned after confessing - a seemingly slam-dunk case for hot shot assistant district attorney Willy Beachum (Ryan Gosling) who has one foot out the door of the District Attorney's (David Strathairn) office on his way to a lucrative job in high-stakes corporate law. But nothing is as simple as it seems including this case. Will the lure of power and a love affair with a sexy ambitious attorney (Rosamund Pike) at his new firm overpower Willy's fierce drive to win or worse quash his code of ethics? In a tense duel of intellect and strategy Crawford and Willy both learn that a "fracture" can be found in every ostensibly perfect facade. Domino (Dir. Tony Scott) (2005): The already larger than life story of Domino Harvey (daughter of British actor Laurence Harvey) a former Ford model turned bounty hunter takes on mythological proportions in Tony Scott's fast-paced action thriller; fashioned from a script by Donnie Darko writer/director Richard Kelly. Unfolding in a non-linear fashion as bloodied Domino (Keira Knightley) is interrogated by iron faced officer Taryn Miles (Lucy Liu) the film traces the trajectory of Domino's tumultuous life. Beginning with the death of her father Domino develops into a hard nosed scrappy young woman who trains with nunchucks beside her mother's luxurious pool and responds violently to anyone who crosses her. Bored with the runway and the glamorous LA life Domino shows up for a bounty-hunter seminar. Catching the "teachers" of the seminar as they try to cut and run with the proceeds she manages to win their respect and joins their team. This consists of Ed Mosbey (Mickey Rourke) the tough-as-nails leader and Domino's surrogate father and Choco (Edgar Ramirez) an impulsive Venezuelan who harbors a not-so-secret love for Domino. The three form a kind of family working under Claremont Williams (Delroy Lindo) who "plays Charlie to their three angels." For a time they are unstoppable even agreeing to let the slimy Mark Heiss (Christopher Walken) produce a reality-TV show about them which is hilariously hosted by Beverly Hills 90210 stars Ian Ziering and Brian Austin Green. But when Claremont orchestrates a complicated inside job in order to raise the money for his granddaughter's doctor bills the precarious balance within the trio is disturbed. Tom Waits stands out in a cameo as a wise wanderer who advises the lost bounty hunters.

Domino is the latest film from Tony Scott, brother of Ridley, a man whose career has been almost as star studded as his brothers but has never quite hit the same critical acclaim. Not to say he doesn't make good films, he does, or maybe that should be he did. Top Gun and Last Boy Scout are great films but they are long in the past now and he has now seemingly decided to concentrate on star studded action films full of inventive, stylish touches that override any substance. 'Man On Fire' did this and now 'Domino' follows along the same lines.
It looks superb, it really does, and you can get wrapped up in it's flash and bang very easily, but try looking a bit further and you begin to realise that there is little else to it. The actual story is a mess and the clever little touches you enjoyed at first begin to grate.
Domino is the true story, sort of, (their words not mine!) of Domino Harvey, daughter of Laurence Harvey a British actor who starred in the original Manchurian Candidate. A rich girl who rebelled against her life of privilege, she had attitude in abundance and became a high class model, she hated that life though and decided she wanted a career as a bounty hunter, so that she could do all the things she wanted to….legally!
Domino starts with the old fractured timeline idea, we start of part of the way through the film, fast forward, backtrack to Domino's history and then jumps around a bit as we learn what is going on. At first this is quite good but then just gets very confusing.
Domino, her boss Ed Moseby (Mickey Rourke) and Choco (Edgar Ramirez) are a bounty hunting team and the main plot of Domino, the film, is off the team being asked by their bail bondsman employer to find the people who stole $10 million from an armoured car and recover the money for a finders fee. Throw in the Mafia, a big casino boss, a reality TV crew and more and everything gets a bit crowded.
Off course there is more to it than that, a lot more, and the plot does get a bit confusing at time, especially when the film 'lies' to you. Telling you something you later find out to be untrue. I hate this; even if there is a reason for it it is just lazy and annoying. Playing with your audiences perceptions of what is happening is good, lying to them isn't!
The beginning of the film is good, a smart smash bang wallop of a start with the bounty hunters raiding a mobile home and using the arm of a hostage to get what they want. This gets you involved in the action immediately, with it's fast movement and slick cuts, and when it jumps to Domino being interviewed by a FBI agent (Lucy Lui) and you realise she is telling the story of what happened, not seeing it first hand, your attention is held. The swift movement between the present, recent and long past intriguing you with its possibilities. Domino's way off getting employed and her first job are very well shot and quite surprising. After a while though this format for telling the story, plus it's convoluted nature and the many sub divisions to it, end up just annoying me.
The involvement of a reality TV show being made about them adds another dimension to the film. Christopher Walken and Mena Suvari as the TV executives and assistant are just not used enough. It is a nice idea that could have added some interesting looks into the nature of reality TV (and with Dog, The Bounty Hunter hitting Bravo right at this moment it looks like someone had done it for real!) Having said that what the reality TV show idea does give us is the surprisingly good performances by ex-90210 actors Brian Austin Green and Ian (pronounced I-an) Ziering as themselves. They send themselves up wickedly and get plaudits from me for doing so.
It is also really good to see Dabney Coleman again, I haven't seen him in anything for ages and he shows here he still has what it takes, even though his part is a serious one the casino boss Drake Bishop) rather than his normal comedy role.
The star of the show though is Kiera, who would have thought she could play such a hard-nosed bounty hunter. She manages to exude a violent, brutalness I wouldn't have expected and copes with all the action and foul mouthed lines without them seeming out of place.
If you liked the flash bang and style of Man On Fire you will probably like this film, but for me it was too much again. The flash and bang took over from the substance and you really needed that to get to grips with the complicated story line. If it had concentrated on that this film could have been so much better.
Written by Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko) surprisingly! Certificate: 15 Running time: 127 minutes
Finally I will add that as I saw this the same day as the way superior black comedy 'Guy X' I may be being a bit harsh. If I had seen it first, or by itself, I may (just MAY mind you) have enjoyed it more.
Advantages: Knightly is great, fun from start to finish. Disadvantages: Could have been more thoughtful than it is, and more effective as a result.
...captions. It just didn't work. DOMINO is Scott taking it to the next level, not only are the violent scenes depicted in an even more hallucinogenic light, but the whole film is filled with that said stylisation. The difference between the films though is that in DOMINO's case this actually works in its favour…
A big reason it works so well here is the way the story is told. Based very loosely on the true tale of bounty hunter Domino Harvey who tragically ... ...showing the audience both how Domino entered the world she inhabits, and telling the films complex main plot about a bounty pick up gone wrong. Because of the way the film is edited and looks there's a highly kinetic feel to the whole thing that just makes it flow oh so smoothly no matter how often we jump back and forth in time.
At the heart of the film and ultimately why it works as well as it does though, is not Scott's direction, but Keira Knightley's ...

Samuel Hadida presents A Tony Scott Film
This film is meant to be loosely based on the life of Domino Harvey. However the only similarities there are that can be mentioned is the upbringing and job of the character.
The character Domino Harvey played by Kiera Knightley (Pirates Of The Caribbean / Bend It Like Beckham) is a girl who is from a well of background. She is english with an actor dad who died when she was young. This led to ... ...hard rock cafe and Domino was placed in boarding school with her pet fish Sammy . When Sammy dies she decided never to become emotionally attatched to anything ever again. Domino faces a short time as a model but this obvious does not fit her fiery temper and decides this isnt for her.

Advantages: Pretty entertaining stuff Disadvantages: Hard to tell what was fact and what was fiction
...days - 'My name is Domino Harvey and I am a bounty hunter'. This was enough to put me off the film. That was until I read an article about the real Domino Harvey and realised that if the film was anything like her actual life it may be worth a look.
Domino Harvey was (according to the film) a rich girl gone bad. Her father was an actor before he died and her mum was a model, more interested in her social life than paying much attention to Domino. ... ...the UK to Hollywood. Domino cut her hair off, developed a bit of a bad attitude and decided she wanted to be a Bounty Hunter. Obviously I've already mentioned her violent tendencies so add this to her skills with various weapons and she may have found the perfect job.
Enter Ed Moseby (Mickey Rourke), the bounty hunter / con man with a heart. He and his sidekick Choco (Edgar Ramirez) have a reputation for getting the job done. Domino has to prove ...

...real life of Bounty Hunter Domino Harvey, played pretty well by the lovely Keira Knightley. Most of the film is shot in the very Tarentino style of flashback as Domino is questioned by an FBI agent played by the woefully under used Lucy Liu. The film follows the life of Domino from childhood to her arrest and whoever made this film had definitely seen FAR too many Tarentino films for their own good. The film is a the story of 3 bounty hunters who ... ...money, implication of the wrong people for that theft, staged but fake killings of those people and another double cross to involve the Mafia and FBI. The film and it's various double crosses are far too complex and as such this is why the film is almost an hour too long. It could be cut very easily but the director was determined to play out all the various plot lines to their conclusions no matter what happened and how much he bored the viewers ...

...her films outbefore passing comment. Domino was my film of choice, and guess what - it's still the silly rich girl trying to do grown up boys things - this time she plays the part of bounty hunter Domino Harvey who before her death commented that she was unhappy with her portrayal in the film and I'm not surprised at all.
Knightley plays an unconcvincing rich girl turned punk who is good with num chucks, her phrases are dull and the scenarios are ... ...* Keira Knightley as Domino Harvey
* Mickey Rourke as Ed Moseby. Rourke initially turned down the film, saying he did not like the role, but agreed to do the film when Tony Scott had the role rewritten.

Advantages: Generally good concert, 'Old Medley' is great. Disadvantages: Bonus features could be better. Needs less pop and more prog!
..., the riff is also used as a backing for Collins to give thanks to the rest of the band, which adds some alteration, but I wouldn't say the closing track necessarily stands out from the rest in any way.
Some of the older Gabriel tracks make an appearance in the 'Old Medley', which is about 20 minutes long and features fairly generous sections from classics such as 'The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway', 'The Musical Box' and 'Firth Of Fifth'. Other than that though, most of the material on this DVD is the more commercal 'pop' hits, although there are still at least some good renditions of longer, more proggy songs such as 'Fading Lights', 'Home By The Sea' and 'Domino'.
The sound quality is generally good, and the visuals are ok - not as fine as a DVD filmed and released nowadays would be though.
As for the 'bonus features', for much...
