Advantages: Very funny and articulate Disadvantages: May not be suitable for some
...Russell Brand grew up in Essex and first came to fame with the hit channel 4 show Big Brothers Big Mouth (a spin off from the actual show Big Brother) He was recognised by his outrages behaviour, dress sence and articulate language. The 33 year old Russell became a big hit and now does his own stand up shows.
The DVD "Doinglife" is hilarious throughout. If you are easily offended then i suggest you do not watch it, on the other hand if you are not then you will simply love the DVD. The stand up was performed at the Hackney Empire in London very close to his home town. The time duration of the DVD is approximately 1 hour and 2 mins and the certificate of the DVD is 18 (not surprisingly).
He talks about being a child, family holidays and what time he used to go to bed. What i found endearing was the affectionate mockery of his mother...

Advantages: Russell is always funny Disadvantages: Recycled material, not as good as the first dvd
...As a big fan of Russell Brand, I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed with the "DoingLife" show. I have long enjoyed Russell's work on TV, I enjoy his podcasts, and also thought his first stand-up DVD "Russell Brand Live" was a work of art.
"DoingLife" is in much the same vein, so much so that he recycles material from the first show. He also recycles jokes used on his television show "Ponderland", which to me is rather lazy and disappointing from one of the UK's best.
Allow me to state clearly, the show is not bad. Not at all. Brand's unique charm and his audience interaction are as good as ever. His confessional style to comedy is back, as he once again shares some embarassing and hilarious stories from his own life with the crowd. Most of the material is new and Russell on several occasions is able to demonstrate his great...

Advantages: Non - stop laughs Disadvantages: didnt really find any
...From start to finish I really couldnt stop laughing. The jokes peter kay tells are so funny because they do apply to real life in every way, things that all of us do that are really unneccessary. The set contains two dvds of stand up comedy. The first dvd is from the tower in blackpool and the second is set in bolton. There are introductions to both dvds which were reasonably entertaining, but nothing compared to the actual show. Both dvds have extra features, such as extra parts of the show that were cut out of the recording and interviews with peter kay himself. Both dvds are basically just peter kay on a stage, but it does not get boring at all....

True and dramatic story of a convicted cop-killer. When his sentence is reduced from 'The Chair' to 'Life' the horrors that unfold in the lawless prison, overrun by sheer brute force and violence, creates a determined instinct for survival... Based on a true story.
Advantages: Lots of Segments and Funny promos Disadvantages: very little wrestling action
...A rather disppointing DVD compared to other stories done by WWE, such as Eddie, Chris Benoit , Rey Mysterio etc.
Pretty much goes through some of his feuds and matches, only showing him Rapping against and about opponents, but little ring action, bascialy the majority of the dvd is john cena hanging out with his freinds, playing playstation and freestyling. this dvd is for you if you like that, but if you want wrestling. then do not buy this dvd, you will be disappointed. It does have some funny segements in it that i enjoyed, but i did not enjoy them enough to feel satisfied with the DVD. overall, 5 matches, not and they are the extras. not enough wrestling action for me, a dvd about someones career and all we get is 5 matches nad an hour of him sitting rapping....

Advantages: Fantastically funny, provides side splitting entertainment for adults only! Disadvantages: The only disadvantage is that you dont want to nip to the loo or get a drink in case you miss something!!
...This DVD is a compilation of the best bits of some of Lee Evans earlier DVD's and Videos. It contains material from performances like 'live at scotland' and 'live at her majestys theatre'. The out takes are truly hilarious, sometimes its just the simple things in life which we do everyday, but the way Lee puts the gags accross makes it seem an awful lot funnier! This DVD includes the famous rendition of the one and only Bohemian Rhapsody, no Lee Evans DVD is complete without it. The perfect end to a perfect comedy act, I definately will never ever get tired of watching it!
This is perfect for the Lee Evans fan and would make a great stocking filler!...
