The life of birds
Advantages: Every bit of this documentary series is amazing Disadvantages: The menu is akward but it is worth waiting for.
Spectacular!! i thought i knew a few things about birds...
I have a long and strong interest in birds, with two pet sparrows, other close bird interests, and hundreds of hours studying robins, crows swifts, gulls, peacocks etc . Birds have been the main focus of my artwork. So i expected to enjoy the series but maybe not find a lot of new or surprising information. Wrong! Most of the content so far has been new to me, either species i had never heard ... ...i did know something about. After renting and watching half of the first DVD, i ordered the whole set. This will be one of the few that i will watch, and show to friends, over and over.
I can't speak directly for people who think they have no interest in birds, but that should be no deterrent. If you have any interest in the world around you, watch this video.
The videography is breathtaking; narration is great; story interest, and organization ...

A film of EPIC Proportions
Advantages: A great experiment, interesting Disadvantages: A bit sick in places
A film of EPIC proportions. Before I start this review I must just firstly say that I like McDonalds, I would probably go so far as to say that I love McDonalds. Sometimes a Big Mac, fries and an diet coke is all that will hit the spot, but only once in a while and certainly not every day, not even every month but unfortunately some people do not seem to understand this and treat McDonald's like their everyday menu. This creates a country full of ... ...sue McDonalds for making them eat burgers everyday and then wonder why they are fat. Why is America so fat? This is the question that Morgan Spurlock sets out to answer in his documentary Supersize me. If you ever want to eat at McDonalds again I would recommend approaching this film with caution as there are some parts that will turn your stomach but saying that I have watched it a few times and yes, do still like the golden arches thankgoodness! ...

Make Sure You Remember Your Direction Home, So You Can Watch This
Advantages: Great Set That Offers An Interesting Insight Into One Of The Most Interesting Eras In His Career Disadvantages: Mainly For Fans, But May Offer An Incentive To Get Into Him For Those Who Aren't
...1965, of Love Minus Zero/ No Limit and Does She Need Me (I Can't Leave Her Behind), a recording of Dylan trying out a new song in his hotel room, the full performance of which can be found on the Genuine Bootleg Series Volume 2, and some other bootleg disks. Comparing this to the likes of Don't Look Back, this is more of a biography and focuses less on what Dylan did, and looking instead at how he developed as a musician and how he dealt with certain ... ...three and a half hours to cover the period of about 10 years. Ultimately, this is the era of Dylan that is often the most fascinating and is when his fame was at its peak, although i would implore anyone that likes it to explore other albums outside the 60s, although the majority of material from that era is spectacular in itself. This is a great 2 DVD set that provides one of the best Dylan documentaries ever made, with the CD set that goes with ...

Fascinating and Enlightening Documentary
Advantages: Can be seen by young and old Disadvantages: Some parts are glanced over (historical events)
...and actions in regards to the Vietnam War, and the people that were responsible for the war. It was great to listen to people reliving the time of the late sixites and early seventies, and you cannot help but notice the similarities of the "corrupt" government back then to this government now (who started the Iraq war). The clips of John and Yoko were fascinating, for me, I got to respect Yoko much more - she was a woman clearly in love with John ... ...his evolution of thoughts from the Beatle's days right up to his full participation in the anti-war movement.
I found it a very inspiring film, and would urge everyone to watch it. Back then, people seemed less afraid to stand up and protest for their beliefs (with the mass rallies, great protest songs, the rise of public speakers). Who knows, maybe this documentary film might inspire more people to think about the rights and wrongs of how their ...
