** IN CONCLUSION **
Another brilliant 'special' for Christmas day… the fast paced action really does entertain and will keep you glued to the television in anticipation…
I was a little dubious when I heard that the comedian Catherine Tate would be involved in such a big way…(with her sketches on her television series being comical, but to extend her abilities into an hour long 'sketch' would test he capabilities to the extreme)… but I was quite pleased with how she came across, although I did see a couple of her 'Catherine Tate Show' characters in the expressions and voices of Donna, but this really did nothing to spoil her role as the frightened, and very frightening, Doctors assistant… in fact, she acts the part surprisingly brilliant, bringing a very good amount of humour into what is an emotionally orientated special edition…
David Tennant is still the same old Doctor, his teeth clenching display of emotions seeming to be the norm, almost like one of the family now… He really does seem to be enjoying his role as the Time Travelling hero…
The story is well written, although does seem a little daft in places, (but this is Doctor Who so you should expect some silliness), and the evil baddie is quite a scary piece of work, (the creator of this eight legged beast having one weird imagination).
In all a fine piece of work which will be enjoyed by many, if not all, who sit down to watch… it has everything that is needed for a good hours entertainment, having suspense, thrills, action, comedy and a form of car chase, and with some great acting what more can it offer?
Also, for future reference, it does have some hidden messages leading onto future episodes, but as you really need to see the future episodes, (which have been made), you will only see these clues as irrelevant words… such as the name Harold Saxon.
* Would I recommend this…? Yes I definitely would. It is as silly as all the other episodes of Doctor Who and is exactly what you should come to expect from the show… silliness, entertainment, action and some edge of your seat suspense…

Doctor Who started way back in 1963, with William Hartnell playing the Doctor! And his performance must have been so strong as we as a whole are still obsessed with this gripping programme, 44 years later!
Since then, we have met 10 Doctors, and adored every one of them! This Doctor (10th) is played by the lovely David Tennant, living up-to-date adventures in his big blue box, more commonly known as a TARDIS. But the Doctor ... ...RUNAWAY BRIDE
