I'm Alison, 18 years old.. Studying animal sciences at Leeds Uni, and hopefully veterinary afterwards. Can't really think of anything to review right now as I'm such a skint student all I do is complain about how I have no money and sleep.

To begin with I was not a fan of the Christopher Eccleston Doctor Who series, prefering David Tennant, but the box set was bought for me for my 18th birthday and I started watching them.
I began to appreciate more the relationship of the Doctor and Rose now I had known their beginnings.
I did feel sorry for poor Mickey, Rose's boyfriend who was just left, so I am glad that in the second series he played a much larger part.
My favourite episode out of all 13 is the last, 'The Parting of the Ways' as it is a fantastic end to the series and extremely heart warming. It shows the care between the Doctor and Rose, even though her love for the Doctor seems to go unnoticed, deep down the doctor cares for her greatly by sending her home for safety. Rose's determination to return to him again shows their strong bond and the twist of her making Captain Jack immortal adds to the superb ending of the series.
The box set may be costly but I reccommend anyone who is a fan of Doctor Who past and present to buy it as it is definitely worth the money and won't disappoint.

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD features. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.

This is a review of the 5 disc boxed set so if you choose DVD as the format you need to discuss the extras available on the DVDs and your opinion of them :) Let me know if you update and I'll be happy to reread/rerate as appropriate. x
