Werewolves, a parallel Earth, an Evil assistant and The Brig with an eyepatch. What more could you ask for really?
John Pertwee is awesome in this story, Nick Courtney is great as both The Brig & parallel evil Brig. The story of the whole crew wearing eyepatches to make him corpse is hysterically funny and you will find out about that from either the information text or the commentary.
Commentary comes from the director, assistant & The Brig (and writer as well I think?). The story is pretty bonkers but The Doctor manages to transport himself to a parallel Earth where everything is different & everyone he knows and trusts are so different from his own Universes counterparts.
I think the best thing about this story is how evil Nick Courtney manages to play without seeming too over the top. The special effects are rubbish but you get John Pertwee at his best, a Tardis that can't be used as this is part of the "confined to Earth by The Timelords" storyline. and we also get lots of good looks at Bessie (The Doctors great car) which always used to make me happy.
The great thing with these dvd are you can watch the story, then watch it again with information text and commentary on to learn more about the background & filming of the episodes.
