Advantages: A change from the normal Pan story
Disadvantages: Poor acting and writing

Hook is a variation on the Peter Pan story, but rather than Peter being the 12 or 13 year old boy he always was, we find that Peter is a middle aged man, and a miserable one at that. Peter is now an a lawyer (no wonder he's miserable!!), spends more time concentrating on his clients than his family. He has been invited to be the key speaker at a function to honour Wendy, who's now an elderly lady who's devoted her life to helping orphans and Great Ormand Street Hospital. So much so they are dedicating a new wing to her. Peter has two children, a boy named Jack and a younger girl called Maggie. Maggie strangely enough has the lead role in a play about Peter Pan, and not realising the play is abtually about him, Peter tries to enjoy watching, but is interrupted by clients. These same clients make Peter miss Jack's final baseball game ...

Hook

Advantages: Wonderful story
Disadvantages: none

Hook is one of my favorite childrens film as it takes a unique spin on the story of peter pan.It tells the story about a grown up peterpan who has forgotten who he is,he now has two children he is beggining to neglect as he is so busy making himself a sucess but he has to attend a party at wendys house(who is know a old lady) and memorys strart creeping back.Hook is getting onto and he misses the fun and fights with Peter so he kidnapps his children and takes them back to neverland peter must remember who he is in time to save his children and put a end to hook. What makes this film fabulous is not only the story but the fabulous Robin Williams who is such a fabulous actor,he warms your heart in this film and along with the children makes a fantastic performance. Hook Hook wheres the Hook!

Advantages: Good family film
Disadvantages: None

adopted by an American couple called the Pannings (bit of a conicidence don;t you think) and when Peter grew up he married Moira and had two lovely children - Jack and Maggie Panning. So the story starts in America where Peter and his family are getting ready to visit Granny Wendy in London They arrive in London for the opening of a new wing of the Childrens Hospital which is being dedicated to Granny Wendy. Whilst at the ceremony Hook arrives at Wendy's house and kidnaps Jack and Maggie and takes them back to Never Land with him in an attempt to get Peter back there so as to settle unfinished business - namely Captain James Hook wants justice done for the loss of his hand. So Peter and Wendy return to the house to find the children gone and a note from Hook telling Peter that his presence is required in Never Land. Granny Wendy ...
