...Being a fan of Louise Bagshawe's books, I was hoping I would also like the novels of her sister Tilly Bagshawe, who began publishing books in 2005. I loved her first one, 'Adored', so I hope that her third release, 'DoNotDisturb', would be as good as her debut. I managed to get my hands on a Proof Copy of this one, as it isn't released for a few weeks, and I was suitably impressed once again!
DoNotDisturb is set in the world of hotels. Honor Palmer is a hotel heiress who is forced to take over the running of Palmers Hotel in East Hampton when her father dies. The local residents donot take kindly to this so Honor has to build up her reputation again. She has to do this in spite of her publicity-seeking sister Tina who is bleeding the sisters inheritance dry, and a new modern, sleed hotel ran by world-famous hotel Anton Tisch...

Advantages: Very funny and educational Disadvantages: None
...I was, I must admit, a little bit worried about this book to start with. Emblazoned on the front cover are the following words, in large, red block capitals: "HE IS A RARE COMIC TALENT" (The Times.)
I need not have worried. As it became clear from before author Tim Moore started the book that he is, indeed, exactly as described, "a rare comic talent." The tone of the book is set in the acknowledgements. Those who offered Tim help are praised fulsomely. And those who refused to help, even to the extent of cutting off their noses to spite their face, received, well, read this direct quote from the acknowledgement:
"And finally, a fitful round of derisive applause for Hasbro, who have ensured you won't be seeing a dog, boot, title deed of Monopoly board graphically represented within these pages. I am consequently delighted to...

Advantages: Brilliant acting. Disadvantages: Very slow...
...are somewhat bland with Erica and David discussing their upcoming marriage, kissing and cuddling and walking the dog. I say 'bland', because there is no foreboding atmosphere, and, quite honestly, there were no sparks between Jodie Foster and Naveen Andrews? Jodie Foster just isn't good in the role of a woman in love. She excels as an actress because she is just so incredibly intense and volatile when playing deeply disturbed, fearless or courageous characters - but romance is not for her. Therefore, the first scenes with Naveen Andrews just didn't feel 'real'. When they are attacked, the tone of the movie flips to the dark side, and Jodie Foster excels at this, except that this dark-side-flip turns into a never-ending psychological feast that is only satisfying if you're starving. Time just seems to stand still while Erica Bain...
