Advantages: A timely reminder of what could have been Disadvantages: Don't expect an action packed film, but do expect to be enlightened
...difficult for the Germans.
The film starts with Charlotte falling in love with a pilot at a time when approaches had been made for her to go to France. Her lover does not want her to go but when he flies off on a mission she follows her heart and takes up the offer to be trained by the SOE. Whilst in training she discovers that her lovers plane has gone down and he is considered missing in action.
Not wanting to give away the plot to those who haven’t seen it I will give just a vague resume of the film. Her problems in France start immediately she drops out of the plane when she is spotted. The plot, in all fairness, is interesting enough, and while it is no masterpiece it does offer some excitement and credibility. However non-appreciators of the Van Damme genre are advised to stay well away....

Advantages: Great Result Disadvantages: Left with no nails at end
...On a rainy evening on Saturday 7 Oct 2006 the world cup runners up strolled onto the Hampden pitch expecting to turn up and take three points from these minnows.
Despite Scotland recording two victories previously to this game and Scotland being top of the group nobody gave them a chance against the stars of France. France who before this games had not lost a qualifying game in 14 years and had last month just comfortably beat the world champions.
These Scotland players walked on to the pitch as men and every single one of them walked of the pitch as national heros.
A game that Scotland were on the back foot for the majority was tense and nervous. France threw attack after attack at Scotland hoping (or expecting) that the resolute Scotland defence would eventully crumble under the French attack. Scotland did ride their luck and France...
