Eventually Arthur (with the help of wealthy relations) was sent to a rather bleak minor public school in northern England. He then returned to his native Scotland to study medicine, where he qualified as a doctor, taught by Dr Joseph Bell, a remarkable medical man who was able to diagnose much more than almost any other doctor. Sherlock Holmes was, largely, based on Dr Bell, a fact Conan Doyle acknowledged, especially by dedicating a Sherlock Holmes book to Dr Bell. The programme brings to life some interesting facts. ...This dvd is a fantastic film because it follows the exploits of the four pevensive siblings-Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter in the world war ll england who enter the world of Narnia through a magic wardrobe while playing a game of 'hide and seek' in the rural country home of an elderly professor.Once there, the children discover a charming,peacefull land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs and giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil white witch, Jadi.Under the guidance of a noble and mystical ruler, the lion aslan, the children fight to overcom the white witchs powerfull hold over Narnia in a spectacular, climactic battle that will free narnia from Jadis's icy spell forever.There is also a sad part when the white witch says that she will have to kill Edmund the Aslan says that you can kill him...
