DVD Description
In DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, a brash, small-time con man (Steve Martin) meets fake prince in exile (Michael Caine) in this outrageous comedy of backstabbing, elaborate lies, and dirty tricks as the two men battle for the prime fleecing territory of a European resort. A wager between the two over duping an American heiress out of her money sends the stakes higher, as the loser must leave town. However, a wily swindler also searching for good territory might have other plans for the two men. In THREE AMIGOS, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Chevy Chase star as the eponymous troupe, swashbuckling stars of the silent screen in 1918 who find themselves broke and out of work. When they are offered what they think is a request for a personal appearance at a Mexican village, they soon realize the villagers expect them to be the heroes they portray and fight a band of desperados terrorizing the town. THREE AMIGOS! is an outrageous parody of early Westerns that highlights the fabulous physical comedy of its stars.
Advantages: Clever Story, very funny in parts Disadvantages: Theatrical trailer only extra, few real belly laughs
.... The film is well paced too so there is a good story in the 1hr 45 minutes. There is, however, something slightly lacking in order to make this unmissable but it is enjoyable and definitely worth a look.

...There is a similar theme to this film as with the others: bombs, Bruce Willis, Dirty t-shirts and foreigners with weird accents, however what is there not to love about this film.
This time brucy is accompanied by Samuel L Jackson (another great actor as is my opinion), this time there are no planes involved, however there are buildings, lots and lots of buildings, soon to be bashed, battered and blown up, just the way we like it.
Again this film is all about stinking foreigners wanting to get there little cotton mittens on our money, the dirtyrottenscoundrels, however bruce does not have any of that, he races round the streets of new york city, diffusing the bombs and generally getting his ass in the way of all the bad guys.
The only fault with this film is the small amount of money they spent on devising a bomb, which involved...

Advantages: Very funny, classy comedy, great cast, good setting, good story line Disadvantages: None for me
...Steve Martin and Michael Caine co-star in this very funny 1988 film of deception and double deception set on the French Riviera. Caine as an aging, English, fake aristocratic, gigolo is perfect, as is Martin as the younger, rough and ready, philanderer who still has a lot to learn. DirtyRottenScoundrels is a remake of a 1960's film which starred David Niven and Marlon Brando playing the leading roles.
Set in a fictional, French resort Michael Caine as Laurence Jamieson has been making a good living by way of duping gullible females out of their cash. In league with the local head of police, played by Anton Rogers, he has a nice little earner set up. When Freddy Benson, played by Steve Martin, arrives in town with pretty much the same mission in mind things start to go wrong. The town of Beaumont-sur-Mer is just not big enough for two...
