Disney's Dinosaur

Disney's cinematical genius has come to life once again, this time in the form of dinosaurs. A magical children's film that kids will love to watch time and time again.

The film sees Aladar (an iguanodon) go from an endangered egg to a cute little baby brought up by lemurs on a remote island away from other dinosaurs. There he grows up and becomes friend and protector to the lemur family.
Until one day a strange thing comes upon their safe island destroying everything in its path that they have ever known.
Aladar takes the lemurs to safety where they join a herd of other dinosaurs travelling to a safe breeding ground with plentiful food and water, the other dinosaurs having suffered the same fate as themselves.

I won't describe anymore of the story line as it may spoil the film for those who have not yet seen it. So to find out more you'll have to watch it for yourselves.

****************************************
All the above and more makes an excellent thrilling and adventure packed story line that keeps you glued to the screen and wanting to watch it. The film does not go on forever but is just enough time to have a brilliant story line and fit in lots of action and brilliant effects.

Disney has made the extinct come to life with second to none graphics.
The whole scenery looks lifelike including the skies that have movement and realistic colour, trees that you can see every individual leaf on them, water with life, current and reflection helping make the whole dinosaur world come to life.
The dinosaurs themselves have realistic movement, you can see bone and muscle structure making them look the size they are and giving the feel that they are in existence.

There are also brilliant sound effects all being different for the various kinds of dinosaurs as well as the scenery being full of motion and sound getting everyone the feel for the film and the story. The sound quality is of very high qulity never sounding faded or fuzzy just sharp and varying in volume and pitch to suit the mood of the scene. The angels at which at which the film are produced are amazing. The realism is astonishing, the voices of the dinosaurs and other characters are well acted, suiting each character perfectly making their humorous and loving personalities shine out all this add up to make this film just like other Disney films have been this one living up to their standard of being genius film makers for all the family to enjoy. They have got computer animation technology set up for perfection as it is shown in this action packed film.

I enjoyed going to watch this at the cinema so much so that we couldn't wait to but the DVD so it could be enjoyed over and over again.
The DVD contains special features such as, behind the scenes features, production notes a virtually interactive realistic game called Aladar's Adventures, Dino Search game, Dino-pedia children love dinosaurs and this is one of the most life like best dinosaur films full of facts and animated menus all to get the most out of your DVD.

This film is rated a PG due to the fact it contains mild threat and violence (basically dinosaurs fighting) But I would still consider this film suitable for children.

The film includes skilled actors such as, D.B. Sweeney, Alfre Woodard, Ossie Davis, Max Casella, Hayden Panettiere and directed by Eric Leighton, Ralph Zondag all of who have helped make this film possible and bring it to life at it's very best.
This film was brought out in the year 2000 and is still a much loved film and still being sold in shops 8 years later. Disney put a lot of their money into this film being one of the most expensive to produce films around at that time with all its computer-animated effects.

I would definitely recommend this film to all family members both adults and children

It can be bought for as little as £5 in supermarkets now on DVD when it originally came out it was around £19.99 considering this was 8 years ago I don't think this is a bad price at all.
If you see a copy of it I would definitely buy it and watch it especially if you have children as they will love it as most ever made.

A definate excellent rating from me.

This has been posted in the category for the Blu-Ray DVD, but mentions nothing about the new Blu-Ray format. Given that this has been posted in this specialised category, I would like to know about the quality of the new format.
