What can i say, i took me ages to hunt down this dvd for my twin girls, they love dinosaurs but i must admit i love the film too, so its a good excuse when the girls want to watch it.
Its rated as a PG and the running time is 79 mins.
Its all about 65 millions years ago when dinosaurs rules the earth, and you get to meet Aladar an iguanodon which is separated from his herb as an egg when another dinosaur attacks them.
He is tossed about every where across land and water when he finally comes to rest near some Lemurs. They raise him as there own and amazingly he fits in really well.
Then out of the sky come a metoer and all flee for there lifes, only a few survive,
Along his journey to find new nesting grounds they meet up with other dinosaurs also in search of new lands.
Although the journey is treacherous he finds himself a girlfriend and all of them persist against the odds.
Eventually trough thick and thin they do.
This is such a lovely film for all the family, funny and sad but i give it the thumbs up.
My kids love the film and watch it over and over.
Special effectorts and photography and computer generated animation are excellent nothing to grumble about at all
DVD also comes with special feauters which is also a plus, these iclude behind the scenes, dino search game, fact files to name a few

Advantages: Will keep the kids captured and glued to the TV for hours, a certain element of education in there to Disadvantages: When playing games DVD can be a bit slow
Advantages: The advantages of this film is it enables you to step back in time and see what these dinosaurs may have looked like. It also lets you see what incredible things you can produce with todays technology. Disadvantages: Some scenes are in the dark and you may not be able to see whats going on.

Review of Dinosaur (Animated) (DVD)
Advantages: realistic, beautiful cinematography, great for ages 6 and up Disadvantages: "scary" carnivores, and complex themes make it too much for under sixes
