Digital Golf School - The Short Game DVD

Advantages: Well made, interesting TV movie. For golf nuts everywhere!
Disadvantages: Not a lot

.... The story movie is based on a novel by best selling author James Patterson. (And Peter de Jonge) When I first came across this DVD while browsing the Sports section at eBay this was one of the main reasons it caught my eye, as Patterson is one of my favourite crime writers. (Detective Alex Cross) Of course, the fact that the story was based around golf, which just happens to be my own sport and lifelong passion, quickly had my finger reaching for the "Buy It Now" button. So was the DVD worth the $7 or so that I paid for it? You bet. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, and in fact have watched the DVD at least four or five times since. (Any DVD I watch more than once has to be worth it's purchase price!) A wee bit more about the film. The lead character is played by journeyman US actor Robert Urich. Advantages: Very easy to understand and covers all aspects of the game

...Bob Toski is a PGA Tour champion and a swing guru who has helped thousands of golfers enjoy golf more by helping them master the mechanics of the game. This DVD is only 70minutes in length which works well as is keeps what Bob teaches in this DVD simple and easy to understand. This DVD contains three section; On the green, around the green and tee to green. In each section Bob shows the viewer the fundamentals of all the shots used in the game. His demonstration is easy to follow, and the use of close-ups in the DVD make it very easy to understand and make sense of what Bob is teaching. This is a great buy for those players wishing to learn and master every shot in the game.... Read review

Advantages: Makes learning and understanding the swing simple the swing simple
Disadvantages: At times it can overwhelm you with information

...This DVD is appealing to all golfers for the reason that it is brought to us by David Leadbetter. He coaches some of golfs best players in the world including; Ernie Els, Michelle Wie, Justin Rose, Charles Howell III, Ty Tryon, Ian Poulter and Nick Dougherty. The teaching methods that he uses in this DVD can be very easily related to by all levels of golf players, whether they are yet to make it out on the course, or have been playing at a high level for a number of years. As a 7 handicap golfer myself, I found this DVD very helpful, as it can be used to get the basics of your swing sound and strong, and so you can return to this DVD time afyter time when your game is not as it should be. Overall, I found " The Swing" to be enjoyable to watch, easy to relate to and it has made a significant improvement to my game.... Read review
