Well hot on the heals of watching Die Hard I watched Die Hard 2 last night. Oh my goodness it was definatley equal if not better than the first in it's superb plot quality, although far superior in stunts and locations.
McCane (Bruce Willis) is picking his wife up from the airport when he sees some men acting suspiciously. He follows one into the luggage area and manges to kill one of them as they are messing with the luggage.
The local police are not convinced as to McCane's sanity - but I am not too sure the viewing public are convinced either! However shortly after that a gang of terrorists hijack the runways and the airport technology, meaining no planes could land. As his wife is on one of those planes circling the sky until it gets clearance to lend, McCane bides his time by becoming involved with a daredevil scheme to foil the terrorists plans.
McCane tries to restore control to the tower with the help of the best gunmen but this fails and the terriorists cause one of the planes to crash by encouraging them to land (after fiddling with the planes computer encouraging it to think it's 200m higher than it thinks it is) while all the people in the airport tower can do is listen, watch and pray!
When McCane discovers that they terrorists are working from an old church he sets to trying to stop them (along the jabbing an icycle into a terrorists eye!) By now the special forces are on the scene and they are helping, lead by a man who use to train with the leader terrorist!
As things pan out McCane discovers that the special forces were firing blanks at the terrorists which means they were in on the plot to free the drug trafficer, the whole time!
As they try to get away in a plane there is a daredevil fight on the pane wing as it tries to take off, involving McCane (naturally). As he get pushed of the wing he unscrews the petrol cap and the petrol comes pouring out. Whilst he lies on the floor, slightly dazed he lights the petrol and the plane explodes, just in the nick of time to allow his wife's plane to land!

I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD features. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.

helpful, but lol that was a bit of a spoiler lol i only saw this film last night on tv but if i'd read this review first i woulda been pissed lol. i couldn't really tell if you liked the film or not but there did seem to be an air of sarcasm about the way you spoke of the action and luck the main character gets lol as in every action film.
