I?ve always believed that if something seems too good to be true, then unfortunately it most likely probably is - Devil?s Advocate is a film that proves this only too well.....
Devil?s Advocate
Keanu Reeves plays the part of Kevin Lomax, a very successful defence attorney who has never lost a case in his entire career.
The film starts with Kevin defending a schoolteacher who has been accused by one of his pupils of molesting her. During the trial, Kevin comes to believe his client is guilty, (which he clearly is) however this doesn?t stop him from destroying the girl's credibility and getting Mr Getty off.
After the trial Kevin and his wife, Mary Ann , played by Charlize Theron, go out on the town to celebrate, yet another win. Whilst enjoying their celebrations, Kevin is approached by a representative of the New York ...
Advantages: A glossy addition to the teen movie genre. Disadvantages: It's hardly original.
a grab bag of recent hits such as Rihanna's "Shut Up and Drive", Nelly Furtado's "Say it Right" and Adele's "Chasing Pavements" which fit the target audience and style of the movie. But the girly version of Christopher Otcasek's "Real Wild Child" is a crime against music.
"Wild Child" is a film that will find its greatest favour with its intended demographic of young teens. The performances are also lively enough to stop accompanying adults nodding off. It is by no means original, but I have seen far worse versions of similar stories and it may become something of a guilty pleasure on DVD. ...
Advantages: This film has some really funny and clever comebacks and the actors are quite ood Disadvantages: This film is quite cheesy in parts
I think that this film 'wild child' is a great watch for teenage girls.
The film is about poppy, a spoilt, rich teenager from LA who, after her mother died has become fairly distant with her dad. Rather than giving her time and attention he just gives her clothes and gadgets and money. But one day, one prank to far she is sent off to an all girls boarding school in england! where she is forced to give up her mobile and wear a hidious uniform. Her father hopes that this will finally straighten her out.
From the day she arrives is certain she wil be gone soon but starts to make friends and realises that 'her ticket out of here might just be the reason she wants to stay'.
I really enjoyed this film and have reapetedly watched it over and over again without getting sick and tired of it. ...
