The film stars Shah Rukh and Aiswarya in lead roles. The film is the new version of the olden times film Devdas. The film is high budget film with lots of expenditure made to give it a new rich color. All the songs are very good and very richly shot. The story is the well known Devdas story. Here Shah Ruck returns home. He remembers his love from childhood, with Aiswarya Rai and goes to meet her even before meeting his mother. There are many scenes beautifully portraying the love between the two. Shah Ruck belongs to a high class family. Aiswarya’s mother is a dancer by ancestry. Shah Rukh’s aunt plays the negative role. She uses the difference in the status between the two family to destroy the love. Aiswarya is forced by her mother to get married to a rich person as second wife. After this Shah Rukh gets into drinking habits. He gets a friend (Jackie Shroff) in a train. With him he also starts going to dasi (prostitute) houses. Madhuri Dixit plays the role of a dasi. Shah Rukh spends time in her house drinking all the time. Madhuri tries to correct him and starts loving him. Coming to know of this Aiswarya is also wishes that they marry and Shah gives away the bad habits. So what happens in the midst is the climax of the film. I really liked the film and the roles played by Shah Rukh, Aiswarya and Madhuri Dixit. I have written this review in Ciao also.

Advantages: The most unbeliveable cinematography ever seen in a movie, and ofcourse it has Aishwarya Ria in it. For those who don't know.. simply put she is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN ON THE PLANET!!!!! Disadvantages: A little long for those who get restless after the first 2 hours of a movie.
