I cannot comment in comparison to the rest of the series, as I have not seen the others, however I found this DVD which is a collection of three episodes of pure black comedy to be one of the best I'd ever seen.
Its amazing how all of the acts are still as funny today, despite them all being performed 12 years ago, as I am only 15 it shows how you did not have to be there at the time to get the jokes. The O.J. Simpson trial is one of the main themes here, so it is evident that the process had recently been completed. There are various angles which th comedians go into concerning the matter, all obviously ending hilariously.
Something which attracted me to buying this DVD out of the collection was the lin-up of many familiar faces who apparently had began their journey to success from this comedy series. Many of whom now are found everywhere, with some such as Jamie Foxx, now a Oscar and Grammy winner as well as "Rush Hour" star Chris Tucker and from "Nick Cannon's Wild N Out" Red Squad member Affion. With so many that you already know are gonna be funny, and a collection of some you probably would not have heard of there is no reason to complain.
The DVD is split up into three shows, each with a new host and different lie-up, none of these are weak links and so if you do buy this, which I recommend, then you shoould watch it all through. There are only a couple of acts which I couldn't connect with, but out of a total of 14, it doesn't lower the standard at all. It is important to know that those who you are likely to know, Martin Lawrence and D.L. Hughley for example, do not disappoint. Warren Hutchenson is one who I had never heard of, it surprised me how funny he was as I would have thought that he would be established by now from the performance he gives in the show.

If you are a fan stand-up and comedy from black comedians especially then you should definately buy this, I know you will love it. You can tell that the chosen performers are naturals to the stage, able to adapt their scrips to the audience and do some improvisation with them also.
