...I cannot comment in comparison to the rest of the series, as I have not seen the others, however I found this DVD which is a collection of three episodes of pure black comedy to be one of the best I'd ever seen. Its amazing how all of the acts are still as funny today, despite them all being performed 12 years ago, as I am only 15 it shows how you did not have to be there at the time to get the jokes. The O.J. Simpson trial is one of the main themes here, so it is evident that the process had recently been completed. There are various angles which th comedians go into concerning the matter, all obviously ending hilariously. Something which attracted me to buying this DVD out of the collection was the lin-up of many familiar faces who apparently had began their journey to success from this comedy series. Advantages: More storyline focused than the first, well developed, keeps you watching!
Disadvantages: Lack of violence?? (if thats your thing!)

...I do love watching films, and I am keen on seeing a variety of genres, from children's film, to comedies and also action films too, well variety is the spice of life as they say! So when my fiance suggested a couple of years ago we sit together and watch his new DVDs which were called "Kill Bill" I was quite keen...until he told me they were incredibly violent. Now, I do like a good action movie but not too much gore or gratutious violence thanks. Still, I decided to give it a go, and since then the Kill Bill films have worked their way up and are now 2 of my favourite films of all time. Kill Bill 2 was on the telly the other night, and of course I had to watch it...again! Advantages: Looks nice, final chapter is impressive.
Disadvantages: Lack of originality, entirely dull for most of running time.

...Does Quentin Tarantino actually serve any kind of purpose? This question has been bothering me for a while, largely after the first Kill Bill, a film that annoyed me in a big way. I went into it expecting to enjoy it, and came out bored stupid after seeing two hours and what felt like badly assembled clips from other films. Looking back on his career, his trend is hardly a new one for him. Jackie Brown resembles a ton of 70s crime films. Reservoir Dogs is just a remake of Long hu feng yun, a 1987 Hong Kong film. Pulp Fiction appears to be his only original works, and deserves all of the praise that it gets. It's a stunning film. This aside though, there seems to be little point in what he does. Kill Bill Vol 2 is no exception to this rule. This is the point where I'd usually write a paragraph detailing the plot... Read review
