Advantages: Great Story, Great Movie, Great Action Disadvantages: N/A
...I have never watched such a movie about sharks. I watched Jaws collection, Octopus, Deep Rising, Relic, and many adventure movies, but I can't get rid of DeepBlue Sea. That's a great story. It's very enjoyable, great sound and video effects. "Jaws" is nothing compared to DeepBlue Sea. They have design it that could run in to your heart. First I watched it in 1999 at cinema. Now I got its original copy and I have watched it more than 20 times. It's very joyful. Its impulse me! But I feel sad about what happens to girl at the last moment. LL Cool J is Ok. Any way I recommend this. If you want to watch a real game, this is it! I love it so much. I wonder why producers still waiting to make DeepBlue Sea II....

Advantages: Mixes 3 genres very well, great effects, action and acting Disadvantages: A few more well-known actors would be nice
...and the extra features on the DVD are also noteworthy. All in all, DeepBlue Sea is a great film, and a great DVD – an essential part of any action, thriller or horror fan’s collection....

Advantages: watch it Disadvantages: repeated scenes from Blue Planet
...Well it should come as no surprise to people that I would own this DVD set. It was released as this 2 disc set in 2003, although the more common format is the one disc version. The two discs I have are the actual documentary and the second disc of additional bonus features.
The first disc has the 90 minute documentary and the isolated Music/effects option. Since I havent tried to the isolated music/effects I cant tell you what it is like. What I can tell you however is that the documentary itself is as stunning with its imagery as The Blue Planet - which to be fair it should be since some of the best scenes from that have been reworked in this. The narration my Micheal Gambon feels somewhat different to that of David Attenborough, I cant really describe how it differs just that it does, maybe because this was a less mass market...

Advantages: Funny, scary and great acting Disadvantages: Hitting your head when you jump out of your seat
...DeepBlue Sea is a brilliant film which includes all the jump out of your seat moments (and in my case hit the ceiling), comedy and pure action.
Having seen all three of the Jaws movies I confess that I did not expect the sharks to be lifelike at all, but the special effects in this film are outstanding. You really do think that they are filming with real sharks.
Quite unlike the obviously mechanical shark in Jaws, DeepBlue Sea sharks had all the right movements and behaviour and are guaranteed to scare you out of your wits!
I loved this film and have seen it four times so far on DVD, definately one to see if you love special effects, action and comedy. This film has something for all but would not be something you would want a child to see....
