This film is set in the middle of the First world War and is about nine soldiers trapped behind enemy lines who take refuge in a complex network of German trenches. They are taking cover from the wrong enemy though. It is not the Germans they should be concerned with, as in these trenches there is a far more sinister and danderous enemy.
The soldiers find themselves in the German trenches, but they are not alone. They search the trenches to find many dead bodies, to be expected in a trench, but these bodies have not been killed in the war.
Then there is the sole survivor. The nine soldiers see him as enemy and treat him like one too, however he knows what really lurks in the trenches.
We follow the nine soldiers through their time in the trench, which for some oif them is shorter than others.
The film is a good idea and has some potential, however I found most of the acting poor and big gaps in between any action. The bits of action there was is quite good and certainly makes you jump.
I find this film overall very boring and would certainly not want to watch it a second time. I fyou like war films then you will probably enjoy this but is was not for me.
I thought that this film was quite good, with a twist that takes it away from a straight forward war film into darker territory...each to their own...Dave
