Death Collector (DVD)

Advantages: Good cast, quite scary
Disadvantages: Similar to 'Bone Daddy'

...The Bone Collector has only just come out on DVD and is quite a good film, despite its similarities to a quite old film called 'Bone Daddy'. Bone Collector stars Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie ( tipped to play Lara Croft in the upcoming movie). Denzel Washington plays a quadriplegic forensics expert called Lincoln Rhyme who is about to commit euthanasia when he hears about a serial killer who has been claiming victims from taxis, then leaving them to die horrible deaths.Rhyme somehow manages to recruit Amelia Donaghy(Angelina Jolie), who is haunted by her Fathers suicide. Another bonus to this movie is the fact that top rapper Queen Latifah is also in it.... Read review

...! Beautifully animated, with voiceovers from the likes of Johny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, Christopher Lee, Albert Finney, Joana Lumley...just to name a few! The collector edition DVD set comes with a 8 postcard set, and a beautifully illustrated book 'Tim Burtons Corpse Bride: the illustrated story' which includes original story boads. This is a must have for all Corpse bride and Tim Burton fans! The book is just under 100 pages, in full colour...well illustrated with original storeyboards..and images from the actual film. The book tells the story of the movie, including much of the dialogue and many of the lyrics to the songs in the movie. A great read after watching the movie, bringing back fond memories and chuckles. The postcard set consists of 8 colour picture postcards of the characters from the movie, capturing... Read review

...psychotic serial killer, Will they succeed?? A great Crime/Detective film to watch although there are a few scenes that are slightly distressing for those with weak stomachs. This film has a 15 rating on it. The additional add ons on this DVD include: Audio Setup Language Choice Multiple Language Choice Scene Selections Directors Commentary Featurette Filmographies Isolated Music Score Theatrical Trailer Trailer - Devil in a blue dress I must admit to having not actually watched the extra's on many of my DVD's so I apologise for not going into detail on them, I am rather into just watching the films themself without having to watch the extras. As you can see there are a number of extras so paying the price of around £17 is'nt bad value. I would recommend this film to anybody who is into Thrillers. The film lasts... Read review
