The fact that no one has reviewed this yet confirms my suspicions that not enough people have been made aware of what a great show it is. This is why I feel the need to write a review to try and get more interest. As I mentioned above in the dis-advantages, not enough people watched the show which is why it was dropped, if there is enough interest then Warner Bros or the Sci Fi channel may pick it up. so here goes...
Basically Georgia Lass (george) has quit college and looks set to spend the rest of her life in bed until her mum cracks and demand she gets a job. George applies to Happy Time - a temping agency with an unusual but funny manageress. George's disinterested and rude manner lands her a lousy filing job with files that look like they havent been touched in years!!
She leaves the office at lunch time for her 35 minute lunch 'hour' when she is suddenly strcuk by a toilet seat from the MIR space station. She doesn't even realise she's dead until Rube turns up and points out that its her smoking body on the ground that is attracting so much attention from passers by.
Rube is the leader of a team of grim reapers and takes her under his wing and to the reapers' hang out - De Wafflehouse. Here he introduces her to the other members of his undead group: Mason, Roxy, and Betty and George becomes 'Milly' to the rest of the world.
Rube assignes them all their 'jobs' on a yellow post it note showing the first initial, surname, ETD (Estimated Time of Death) and a place. Then it's up to the reaper to find the person and reap their soul before they die.
All the 'alive' people can see them, they just look different to when they were alive themselves, so they can't be recognised. They still eat, sleep, and most importantly of course, have to have day jobs.
I thoroughly recommend you get the DVD (both series one and 2 are available), you'll love it and only be gutted that there isn't more to watch afterwards!!
