New York City's Emergency Medical Services, a loser who is nevertheless a compulsive rescuer of people in danger. When the Holland Tunnel is sealed off after a fiery explosion and car passengers are trapped within, he goes inside and leads a group of survivors (a mixed group allegorically representing America's diversity) through all manner of pestilence toward safety. Directed by the imaginative Rob Cohen (Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story),Daylightfinds Stallone outrageously (and to almost campy effect) pushing the envelope of his martyr persona to near-religious levels. He throws himself, quite literally, into this part and between that entertainment factor and the unnervingly convincing effects, this is a pretty watchable film.--Tom Keogh

Advantages: great action packed dramatic movie...in a tunnel Disadvantages: none really
people still alive but trapped in the middle, fearing for their lives as the tunnel walls begin to show signs of weakening further.
Unfortunately for the survivors the air in the tunnel is soon becoming more poisonous, what with the Carbon monoxide levels rising and fires burning wildly along the tunnel, the rescue team have no option but to send in someone to try to stop the poisonous fumes from killing them all.
Enter the ever so ready action hero and godsend Kit Latura, (played by Sylvester Stallone), a rescue expert with many years experience.
His plan is to reach the survivors, via the labyrinth of service tunnels and bring them all out safely??
**IN CONCLUSION**
It is not a bad movie, having plenty of action and a bit of suspense, as you watch the people in the tunnel try to survive long enough to see daylight again ...

Like alot of people out there I wanted to enter into the world of high def. movies but found myself asking 'is it worth it'.
I found my question answered by a visit to my local gamestation where I stubmled across an XBox 360 add-on drive for £25.00 with 2 films!
The unit provides great picture and sound when watching back movies and with films now available from £2.99 (hmv.co.uk - a few examples: American Gangster-£2.99, The Kingdom-£2.99, The Thing-£2.99.........go have a look for yourself!) this is the investment that has to be made by anyone who is wanting to 'dabble' in an HD upgrade.
All this and you only have to stick in the supplied disc, give it 25 seconds to run/save and you're good to go.
Also as well as performing as a HD player this unit will also act as an upscaler for standard DVD ...
Advantages: Price, Ease of Use Disadvantages: Wont be as many films to buy as Blu-Ray

Everywhere you go on the internet these days you find comments from sad individuals with nothing better to do than write " OMG'Z DON'T BUY HD-DVD ITS LOST TO BLU-RAY, THERES NO POINT".
