I bought this wokout because I'd read in many fitness magazines that it was one of the best fitness DVDs. I must say I was impressed. The workout easily breaks down into sections, so it is easy to do as much or as little as you like. Davina is funny and the trainers Jackie and Mark are encouraging. Because it is broken down into chunks the workouts feel manageable; however, the lower body workout maybe particularly difficult for beginners.
The DVD starts with a warm up which features gentle aerobics and some stretching to get your heartbeat up. Then the first workout is for the lower body; this involves interval training with lots of squats and lunges separated by 1 minute of cardio work to really make you work. The lower body workout is definitely the hardest in my opinion. You can really feel it in your bottom and thighs afterwards!
The next section is for the Upper Body. Once again the work with free weights, press ups and tricep dips are interspersed with 1 minute cardio intervals. This section can be made more difficult be using heavier weights or if you are finding it hard then you don't have to use weights at all.
The third workout is for the abs and bums. If you do not have quite strong abdominals then this workout could be quite hard. I also find that my bottom burns during the leg lifts but I do think that is a good sign. The 1 minute cardio sessions break the abs and bum work up quite nicely; so you never feel like you are being over pushed.
The last section of the DVD is the gool down. This is such a nice relaxation with some lovely stretches. I definitely feel much looser and more relaxed after the cool down. Since I have been doing this and the Nell McAndrew fitness DVDs I have found that my flexibility has increased immensely and I think that is down to the cool downs.
I like the extras on these DVDs. There are fun sections with Davina talking about food and dressing for your shape; she is not quite Gillian McKeith or Trinny and Susannah but it is interesting.

Most celebrity fitness dvds seem quite pointless and just an attempt to make money from the celebrities popularity. But I reckon with Davina's enthusiasm for everything this could be really good.
