We all saw Davina's dramatic weight loss so when I saw that she had a workout DVD I was instantly drawn to it. I love Davina, so to have a celebrity that I don't find annoying doing a DVD was also a bonus!
The DVD is split into three sections, each lasting half an hour and the aim is to do each section once a week. So effectively you are working out three days a week and doing an hour and a half in total.
The three sections are as follows:
Pump: This is an interval training session so lots of squats and working with weights, broken up with one minute jogging sessions to increase the heart rate.
Cardio Box: Again an interval training session. Really fun to do with lots of kicking and punching!
Core Stability: This section is to improve your posture and balance. Does not include any high impact work but lots of stretching and really works the stomach!
This DVD is very manageable to do and really works. The fact that most sections are broken down into interval training sessions means that it is much easier to complete if you don't have much will-power or endurance to do high impact work for a long period of time. However, this does not mean that you will not achieve results because by doing the one minute high impact sessions your heart rate is increased for the rest of the workout and therefore you are still burning fat.
I would recommend buying some weights to use with this DVD as I did not find the Pump section effective enough without them. If you use weights with this section it is really effective.
Jackie and Mark, the trainers on this DVD are both extremely professional and explain exactly how to do each movement to prevent injury and also to give you some education as to what effect each move will have.
What I like most about this DVD is that you have the option to mute the talking once you know the routines a little better. You still have the music playing, but Davina and the trainers will be muted. This is fantastic because after doing a fitness DVD a lot, you know it inside out and repeatedly hearing the instructions can become annoying!
The workouts are really easy to fit into a busy schedule because they only last half an hour each and the workouts have been crammed full, so that you use this half an hour to the best potential. The fact that it's only half an hour also means that you don't dread the thought of doing it. After all it's only half an hour!
I bought this DVD when it was first released and it cost me 17.99. It is available in a variety of retailers but if you look online there are some really good deals on this DVD at the moment. You should be able to purchase it for much cheaper if you have a browse around.

I might consider buying this when I get a bit bored of Pump It Up because I've read lots of good reviews about it and it should be cheap on good old eBay now!
