a good DVD. It would be nice if another DVD was released containing a harder and faster routine that would help with the cardio side.
Shaolin Strength Training
This part of the DVD lasts about 35 minutes and is narrated by DavidCarradine and performed by two people who are supposed to be teaches.
This part of the DVD starts off with a warm-up, has some strength training movements and then has an internal cool down.
The movements are performed several times slowly and then performed several times using full tension which is a technique called ?Dynamic Tension?.
After performing this routine, I did have a slight sweat so it did workout my body and I also enjoyed following along to this routine. A lot of the movements I have seen before in ?Iron Wire? sets but as this is just a beginnersDVD, it only shows a few ...

If one is interested and serious about taking up Yoga then this is the right DVDto get one started..The video demonstrates the basic postures or asanas clearly and gives tips on getting them right....
This DVD is perfect for Beginners and especially for those over 40, as many of the other 'ASANAS or Postures, mentioned in most other DVDs are meant for younger and fitter people...whereas the Aasanas shown here are easy to follow for anyone regardless of age...
The instructions by the Yoga Master is very helpful ...
I would just like to write a review on this, as I have just joined one of my local gyms. It is one that is attached to the hospital I work in, although it is also open to the wider public.
As a member of NHS staff, I get a special rate of £27 a month which is all inclusive - a proper gym induction where I get to learn how all the equipment works; my own programme workedout for me by a qualified instructor; any class I want to go to without having to pay anything extra, and use of the squash court at a very nominal cost. All I really have to pay a bit extra for are towels or shower gel etc, and sqaush balls. Otherwise, people can pay £31.20 per year but they have to pay per visit - loads more!
So why should people workout? To get fit!
Not only that, but you will feel loads better about yourself both physically and mentally ...
