Date Movie is another in a long line of send up movies spoofing some of the most popular movies around. Date Movie borrows heavily from four movies and in fact nearly the entire first half of the movie is an amalgam of Meet The Parents and Meet The Fockers; both these movies were already comedies and by most peoples views funny enough, so to spoof them is really taking things to far. Advantages: it makes you feel really happy and laughy and hyper...!!!
Disadvantages: You might have stomach pain in the morning for laughing for much...!!!

I must start this review with a simple chuckle *hehehe*, this is because this is what you will be doing while watching this film, along with snorting, looking at the screen in disgust, pissing yourself with laughter and laughing soooooo hard you'll regret it in the morning... I watched this film in the cinema, and i think i could be one of the funniest movies of the year. although very rude, foul language and very distasteful, this film really lightens ...

...Having been a fan of all the scary movie movies, and generally of the whole new wave of spoof films, I must say I was very disappointed with these 2 films, the only saving grace being that having brought them in a set, they do not take up any more shelf space! Epic Movie was a complete mishmash of spoofs, far to many to hold anytype of story, let alone comedy, Jumping from the magical remote control of "click" the lion sleeping with the children from "narnia" and Charlie's chocolate factory. The humour felt too forced and focused more on getting a reaction (which in my opinion was 99% bad) rather than the actual art of a clever spoof. I lost count after about 10 films, what they were actually poking fun at! All in all very disappointing and messily made. No memorable characters, no memorable jokes, Hard to follow storyline. ...Excellent film, provides the link between all the films as to how Anekin Skywalker becomes Darth Varder. Excellent special effects and story line with the good against evil and Anakens struggle between the two. Also we can now understand Star Wars episode 4,5 and six much better with the complete story of where it all started and how OB wan went into hiding to protect LukeSkywalker. George Lucas should be commended once again for his skills and the vision of what star wars can and will be and this along with the original 3 movies will stand the test of time and will not date. Cover ofthe DVD was also well designed and eye catching and relative to the film, eye catching and easy to see that it was a Star Wars episode.... Read review
