DVD Description

A young boy tells the story of growing up in a fatherless home with his unmarried mother and four spinster aunts in 1930's Ireland. Their lives are interrupted by the arrival of two men - the boy's long-lost father, who is off to Spain to fight the war against Franco, and an elderly uncle who has "come home to die" after a lifetime in America. Although life goes on as before for the boy and five sisters, something will happen that will destroy their peaceful existence as they once knew it.

Books and Films can get along
Review of Notting Hill (Wide Screen) by  A_M_Benneter

Advantages: Good comedy, unpredictable plot twists, not a dull moment
Disadvantages: None

...house is a slight mess, for which his roommate Spike (Rhys Ifans) is responsible. Evans, who appeared in "Dancing in Lughnasa" can be seen again in the 2000 "The Replacements", starring Keanu Reeves. There he plays a Welsh ex-football player who parties and smokes even as he's back in "the game". In "Notting Hill", Ifans is the untidy roommate, who is just a bit odd, to say the least. He would annoy anyone, but William treats him very well despite his obvious shortcomings. "Notting Hill" is a charming and quite hilarious romantic comedy. The twists and turns of the plot aren't predictable and there isn't a dull moment. There is one (improvised) scene where Anna tells William about body doubles in film and that there is such a thing as a "bottom double". William says something to the extend: "what a job, being Mel Gibson's bottom". Grant... Read review

A review on dirty dancing (duh!)
Review of Dirty Dancing DVD by  susiberry12

Advantages: It's Dirty!
Disadvantages: nothing!!!!

...Dirty dancing is based around a rich family who go to a dancing-type holiday camp for the summer. Their daughter baby (Jennifer Gray), (thats her name) is hopeless. The dance instructer, Johnny (Patrick Swayze) a bit of a dish and so when he needs help to perform a dance, she jumps at the chance to help him. She falls in love and things get...........well rather dirty (!) Rent it out on video coz i guarentee it'll get u yearning to take dance lessons with Patrick Swayze. (well it did me anyway)... Review of Dirty Dancing DVD by  XMiKe

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...Well a clasic romance movie. Allways will enjoy to see it. It's a nice story about a "girl" and a "boy" who meet eachother in an vacation. The common part it's dance... dirty dance :). She will learn fro him to dance. Will compete in a dance contest. Will win ? ehhh I guess al of you know how is the finish. If no you don't watch it... if you know still watch it (again). It deserves. The performance is great. Patrick Shwaitz plays great here. The romance is very nice. Of course will be some complications with ex-girlfriend( dance partener) of Shwitzy.:) The soundtrack is very memorable! Enjoy... and love!... Read review
