Good dance DVD for beginners
Review of Pineapple Studios - Everybody Dance DVD by  burtybookworm

Advantages: Fun, great music, basic and easy to understand
Disadvantages: not so good to "get fit", too basic at some points

...I've literally just finished the end of this DVD and thought Id write the review whilst it was still fresh in my mind! Pineapple Studios Everybody Dance does what it says on the tin "Learn To Dance, Get fit, & have fun!" - but only just. The choreographer is really good, and her credibility is backed up by the fact that she has worked with stars like the Sugababes, Rihanna and Mary J Blige. You definitely warm to her, shes not patronising, and you do feel part of the dance class whilst she is teaching you the moves! There are three main routines that she teaches you, each with a chorus and verse - "Maneater" by Nelly Furtado, "SOS" By Rhianna, "Aint No Other Man" by Christina Aguilera and "Beep" by The Pussycat Dolls. The DVD also includes other extras like meeting the dance troupe, make up tips etc as well as a full routine... Read review

Keane - Strangers DVD = GREAT!
Review of Keane - Strangers DVD by  diddy1

Advantages: Bonus Features
Disadvantages: Long wait for a DVD

...This dvd was a long wait, but it arrived, and there was no dissappointment. This is a 2 disc set. The footage for the documentary was filmed on Keane's US tour in summer 2005, where they let themeslves be filmed so that this great insight was possible. A lot of the footage is taken of them traveling on their tour bus, where they are not always happy to be filmed! There were a couple of times where the band had issues with eachother and things became stressful, Tom became slightly ill. It was a very interesting insight for me as a fan, showing the day-to-day problems that the band had, with each other and personal, and how they were resolved. It shows Tom, Tim, and Richard's sense of humor which is good, it's nice to know they can still have a laugh with the stress of being in a band, and I found Tom quite funny... Read review

When A stranger calls
Review of When A Stranger Calls DVD by  jcneil

Advantages: Gripping, tense
Disadvantages: Too long to get going

.... The film has a great ending where Jill is in hospital and she has a nightmare imagining the stranger coming up behind her to grab her. She then wakes up screaming with people trying to calm her down. He is also at the Hospital after she stabbed him with a fire poker she picked up when she went looking for him. ...DVD Extra's... This DVD comes with plenty of extras they are two commentaries (one with Camilla Belle and Simon West; the other with Jake Wade Wall), deleted scenes, a 20-minute making-of featurette, and trailers for other movies around at the time of release like The Da Vinci Code and Ultraviolet. The making of the film featurette is a worthwile part of the extras as it shows you what the actors feel about the film's concept and also what the ideas of the director and producers are in terms of where they wanted to take...
