Advantages: sexual tension Disadvantages: there is none
...lusts after the bad boy. Claire got caught ditching class to go shopping in true princess style.
Alison, the basket case is played by Ally Sheedy. Her poison is vodka and yes she screws her shrink, or is she just lying?
Shes always quiet throughout the film until near the end where she blurts everything out.
My favourite part of the film has to be the dancing scene wher they all let loose and dance in each their own true style.
On the DVD you also get to watch the trailer.
They were complete strangers who they bared their souls to. They were and always will be THE BREAKFAST CLUB...

Review: "...A ripe, dark new British film....The technical side of DANCE WITH A STRANGER is impeccable..." (Los Angeles Times, p.C1, 14/08/1985)
"...Very good....Giving the film its special edge is the striking performance of Miranda Richardson..." (New York Times, p.C12, 09/08/1985)
"...A requiem to unrequited English passion, and a song of hope for British cinema..." (Sight and Sound, p.62, 01/12/1984)
Advantages: Unbearably tense at the climax Disadvantages: Not quite as fully finished as the book
...Forget the fact that this is Meryl Street and Clint Eastwod. Forget the fact the Meryl is stuck in one of her accents that obviously isn't her own, because we know who she is so well. Forget the fact that Clint just sticks with his strong silent type character. This is a fabulous film.
Some might say that it is a love story. I think it is a story about a mid-life crisis. Meryl's family all drive off on a family jaunt for a few days, and she is left behind. Roll up hunky Clint who draws her out of her humdrum housework-filled life and into his life of light and perspective, showing her things through new eyes. Little notes, flowers and dancing in the kitchen. Such things as dreams are made of.
But then she has to decide between her home/husband/children and a life with this stranger. Hubby comes back while Clint is still in town...

Advantages: funny, hilarious, easy to watch movie Disadvantages: the whole movie is excessive according to the greek tradition and life style
...Summary of the film (Some of the information used from the back of the DVD):
Everyone in the Portokalos family worries about Toula. Still unmarried at 30-years-old, she works at Dancing Zorba's, the Greek restaurant owned by her parents, and smells like garlic bread. Her days are drab and dull, just like her hair, her clothes, and her attitude. Still, Toula wishes for something more. Just when she's wishing she were prettier, she locks her eyes on a tall, handsome stranger, in the restaurant.
The handsome stranger barely notices her. Toula is ready for a change. Unfortunately, the rest of her family is not. A few computers classes, some contact lenses and a new attitude are all the jump-start Toula's life needs. She takes a job at her aunt's travel agency, where this time, the handsome stranger locks eyes on the transformed Toula. He...

Advantages: Lots of Fun Disadvantages: Not hard going
...If you’re no stranger to a gym then this DVD is not for you but I would recommend it for the fun factor alone. Rosemary doesn't push you too hard however it does get your heart racing. I'd say this is for people with a moderate fitness level. I was starting to get out of breath by the end. If you are serious about starting a full on fitness regime, start with this then move to something more hard core. But if you’re not a fan of the standard aerobics type DVD this is perfect for you. I bought this DVD to flatten my tummy as I am going on holiday in a couple of months and am doing the sponsored run (race for life this weekend) so wanted to so something to prepare myself for the run. I also work full time so didn’t want anything that would take to long. I was also looking for something that I would look forward to doing as it is hard...
