DVD Description
Sucking in viewers with the dramas, scandals, and intrigues of the Texas elite, 'Dallas' quickly became a national sensation after debuting in 1978. The most popular night time soap since the 1960s series 'Peyton Place', the series would run for a total of 13 seasons and become one of the biggest hits of the 1980s. Driven by the dramatic affairs of the rich Ewing family, 'Dallas' derived much of its drama from its characters' pursuit of money, sex, and power. Features all the episodes from the fourth series.
Advantages: Great DVD set, Great cast, Nostalgic Disadvantages: Don't be silly! Ok, Extra features are poor
...Admitting that you have purchased the DVD set of Dallas is akin to telling your friends that you don't just do the dance to 'Agadoo' for the kids sake! The shame, the embarrassment, the persecution that you feel - well lets just say I am getting very adept at disguises. Joking aside, although Dallas was THE series of the 80's (yes it was, no arguements please!) there are stil a lot of strange people that didn't like Dallas: yes really! ;-) To return to the matter in hand, this a review of the Dallas DVD boxset - seasons 1 and 2.

SERIES 1 EPISODE SIX WINNING THE DOUBLE - Jason is unhappy with team decisions and asks for a transfer.
SERIES 1 EPISODE SEVEN ALL CREDIT TO THE LADS - Donna gets fed up with Ian and turns to Salvator, Tanya trys to get Jason back in the team and Chardonnay thinks she is pregnant.
SERIES 1 EPISODE EIGHT THEY THINK ITS ALL OVER - Holly Wormsley is kidnapped and Salavtor uses his transfer money to pay the ransom. Chardonnay and Kyle talk about adoption. BE WARNED this episode ends on a huge cliff hanger, so buying it in this boxset is great because you dont have to wait for the next one!
SERIES 2 EPISODE 1 JUST CAN'T GIVE UP - Jackie gives birth to a baby called Paddy who is to be adopted by yle and Chardonnay but Jackies maternal instincts kick...

The Extras:
The Dallas DVD extra's have indeed improved slightly with each boxset. We have since had reviews into the phenomenon that was the show, and of course analysis of its biggest storylines. But this original boxset was pretty sparse in extra's which is disappointing. Because other than that, its a nicely presented package with some good episodes.
The episodes are spread across 5 multi-sided discs. Prices range from £14 and upwards from websites such as www.amazon.co.uk, www.play.com, www.hmv.co.uk...
