DVD Description
From the director of 1997 sci-fi thriller CUBE, comes this equally forward looking tale of double-agents and futuristic spy rings. Jeremy Northam plays Morgan Sullivan, a bored, put-upon suburban accountant who dreams of a more exciting career. He becomes a company spy for huge firm Digicorp, he must secretly record sensitive information at trade conventions, under an assumed identity. He meets the enigmatic Rita (Lucy Liu) who works for a rival company, and she convinces him he's been brainwashed by Digicorp and offers him the chance to be anti-brainwashed and work for Sunways, putting him in the difficult position of double-agent. Increasingly psychologically disturbed with divided loyalties, cracks begin to appear in Sullivan's fragile mind, and the real and the imaginary become dangerously blurred. His only saviour comes in Rita's boss, Rooks, but first he must perform one final deadly assignment.

Review: ...A clever, futuristic mind bender... (Sunday Times, 15/04/2008)
Advantages: A sleeping masterpiece with detectives, voodoo and the devil Disadvantages: Have to pay attention at times.
...Hmm, I can't actually remember buying this one. One day it just appeared in my video collection. I'm sure I must have bought in one of those Virgin deals, but...I can't remember. I may have inherited it, I just don't know. It does seem familiar however. Maybe 'outside' put it there, hmm.
Regardless, this must rate as one of one of my favourite films. A strange tale of private detectives, 1940s cabaret singers and the devil. Like Miller's Crossing seen through a dirty window. Mickey Rourke plays the character of Harry Angel, hired by Louis Cypher (subtle) to find a singer who has defaulted on a 'contract'. From here the tale takes a murderous turn, with a string of murders following Angel's investigations. The film really heats up in New Orleans, with spine-chilling omens and disturbing imagery, leading to a twist to rival...

...I have always loved Burt Lancaster Movies and I would rate this one as my all time favourite and I have seen almost all his movies.
Valdez is Coming is the story of injustice and how Valdez tries to help the widow of the man he was forced to kill by the local landowner.
Burt Lancaster plays the town constable (Bob Valdez) and as the name suggests he is a Mexican, who also fought for the US cavalry.
Jon Cypher plays Frank Tanner (the Land Owner) who is responsible for an innocent man being gunned down by Valdez . Tanner has accused the man of murdering his lover's husband.
Arriving on the scene, Valdez tries his best to end the standoff peacefully, managing to gain the trust of the holed-up man who directs him to evidence that proves his innocence. But before Valdez can get hold of this evidence and display it to Tanner...

The Russian Lector machine has been a thorn in the side of both the US and the British intelligence agencies for years. Russian cypher clerk Tatiana (Tanya) Romanova offers such a device to the British on condition that they send their best agent - James Bond. But neither the British or the Russians realise that are all being played against one another by SPECTRE, who have arranged to have the machine stolen from the Russians a(and make it look like the British) and will then sell it back to them. With a highly trained 'guardian angel' shadowing his every move James must battle enemies on every side, capture the machine, and make it back alive. Can he do it?
