At first i thought this film was going to be like 'the Goonies'( weird, yeah i know). I had seen Matthew Modine in previous films and thought him charming and funny. The storyline is good, a few iffy sections but nonetheless extremely watchable. Now, what every film needs is a good bad guy and this certainly has one of the nastiest. If you imagine the lowliest dog (a 'mad dog', if you will) then you've got the villain. The only problem for me was that this film had no muppets. I would have liked to have seen this film combined with Muppet Treasure Island - What a show-stopper! Seriously though this film is well worth watching, an unlikely match though it may seem with Davis and Modine, they have chemistry and the characters are sassy. Actions scenes appear infinitely believable. Big Budget, Big Action. Buy it
