Review: Blake Edwards has created genuinely funny sight gags... Wass does provide moments of hilarity... (Variety, )
Advantages: funny Disadvantages: more for children than adults
...it all starts when the famous pinkpanther disappears from the football match everyone is on the search for it. Then chief inspector dreyfus wants to find it and wants to be the main man so he tries to find a man who would be stupid enough to do the work for him so that he wouldn't have to do anything and so you can guess who comes in here clouseau! and chaos following him one after another he gets closer and closer to the culprit. And one the way he meets the beautiful singer xania who is played by beyonce and clouseau gets more and more suspicious on her. Along with clouseau is his sidekick ponton played by jean reno and is with him throughout the film.
this film is just full of comedy and entertainment. It is more suitabable for children than adults and i would recommend it for children....

...5 Panthers caged in one box. Inspector Jacques Clouseau's misadventures as brought to the screen by Blake Edwards and Peter Sellers are available in this lushly packaged but ultimately disappointing 6 disc DVD Boxset.

So, we are transported instead to 1976 and 'The PinkPanther Strikes Again', then 1978 for 'The Revenge of the PinkPanther', but most shamefully of all we get...

...'Have you ever seen a panther that is pink? Think!'
The PinkPanther animation started out as a short to precede the PinkPanther films, and is seen on the opening credits of some of the Inspectoe Clousea films. He was proved to be hugely succesful and so a show of his own was commissioned, using the same distinctive theme tune by Henry Mancini.
I have always been a fan of the PinkPanther on telly as long as I can remember, I still remember watching a triple bill of PinkPanther at tea-time on a Saturday afternoon and wishin I had a car like the one the little kid had on the closing credits. So spotting this in HMV for 20 quid I decided that was a small price to pay for over 13 hours of joy. Yes, that's right. This DVD contains every episode of the original PinkPanther cartoons fom the 60's and 70's and they all add up to over 13...
