The film starts late at night in a dark wood, a young girl named Becky is running from a figure in the distance. She hides, but is soon found. Days later her body is found, she has been shot and it looks like the local wildlife have been feeding on her since her demise.

Enter Owen Matthews, a teen boy who has been expelled from most of the schools he has ever been involved with. In a last ditch attempt, his father sends him to Westlake Prep (the school from which Becky was a student). Westlake is a highly prestigious school specialising specifically in the rich kids society.

On his first day there he meets Dodger (Lindy Booth) who takes an instant shine to Owen and invites him to join her elite group 'the liar's club'. The Club consists of Dodger,Tom(Owen's new room-mate), Randall, Lewis, Mercedes, Graham and Regina. They meet at the Chapel on the Campus and make up games of lies and deception from within the group.

Bored with the limited game, Dodger decides it is time to make the game more wide-spread and involves the entire school in her new lying game. The Group begin a rumour, sent by e-mail to the whole school, surrounding Becky's death. They invent a Serial Killer who they name 'The Wolf', they make up gruesome murders he has committed, using scenarios on eachother, and imply that he moves from school to school committing many murders before movng on. They even give him a description as to what he wears on his face, the weapon he uses (a knife), this was a slight flaw I thought as his first victim had been shot, what he covers his face with, the jacket he wears and so on.

As time moves on, 'The Wolf' starts to contact them by e-mail, telling them he is coming after each and everyone of them. Their lie has just become reality for them and they begin to doubt one another, each accusing the other for the messages.

Before they know it, they are being stalked, 'having items planted on them, and eventually one by one 'The Wolf' strikes.

The liars club have just become the hunted and it is a race against time to save their lives or is it?

Jon Bon Jovi appears in the film as a teacher Rich Walker, who does come into the film on a few occasions, and does play quite a significant role in the film, but if I went into explaining the ins and outs it would be giving a bit of the plot away, which I do not want to, I want you to work it out (if you can), by the way I did work the plot out in the last 15 minutes of the film, after a lot of brainwork and deducing, my hubby got nowhere near the plot, so its not an easy thing to do, which makes it all the more brilliant, although I did work it out, I still wasn't sure I was right to the very end.

This is a film of twists and turns and a few jump out of the seat moments. It is a very cleverly thought out film and has you guessing all the way along. At times Owen's accent is hard to decypher, but apart from that it is a truly enjoyable mind-provoking film. It is not a high-budget film, the entire film being set in the school or on campus, but it is very well presented.

If you like twists, detective work and a bit of mediocre gore then this film is definitely for you.
