Most people see Dangerous Liasons as a classic, and find this remake up not up to scratch, but, in my opinion it takes the film to another level.
The casting could not have been any better, Ryan Phillipe (Sebastian)is amazing and although he has been made out to be unoriginal (people say he plays the character exactly like John Malkovich)i don't see the problm as he adds enuff to the film without needing to change much of a previous personality as that is what the film centres around. Sarah Michelle Geller on the other hand does add a personal touch in the character she plays, and it works very well. It is obvious that Reece and Ryan love each other in real life and this makes the plot much more human and believable.
The plot revolves around Sebastian and his step sister(Buffy)having a bet with each other for Sebastian to bed the new self acclaimed virgin to town, the new Headteachers daughter.If Sebastian sleeps with her he also gets to bed his step sister, if not she gets his car.
This film is a new love story of the 20th century, concentrating on love, lust,and rivelry in our world where being in control is everything.
This film is a must see, it's one of my favourite films. Even small characters are excellent such as Joshua Jackson whose character is innovative and very funny!It's a joy to watch, and although i've seen that Cruel Intentions 2 is coming out i definately wouldn't bother with it unless u'r just curious after the first one!

Advantages: How good the actors are and how class they make this movie to be.And how no special effects are needed to make this movie how good it is. Disadvantages: wasnt long enough lol
