A lot of people liked this film and got a bunch of awards - not that that counts for much these days - but I pretty much thought it sucked. The storyline was just stupid and convuluted, the actions scenes were equally pointless and unrealistic - I'm not big on action scenes unless the film is a) not taking itself too seriously or b) so well made that the action scenes grip you. People also talk a lot about special effects and stuff, but I tend to expect big bangs and floating and bullet-time and whatever in a film and so I'm not greatly impressed when it appears unless it is used with some subtlety or good timing, rather than just everywhere, the same applies to fighting/choreogrpahy So maybe you'll like it, if you like kind of poncey versions of jackie chan films, with even less plausible plots, but I was bored stiff!

HI welcome to ciao. Sorry for the low rate, but for this to be useful you really need to have a lot more info, such as who is in it, how long is it etc.. A good idea would be to check out many more ops on this site to see what others rate highly *it also builds up your ciao profile* If you do edit this op, then please let me know, i'll happily re-read/rate it for you. Oh yes I have seen the film, and I didn't think much of it!! Larry
