An outstanding film which more than deserves its accolades. With a gripping plot, stunning visuals, amazing special effects, moving performances and genuinely touching romance, it truly is a movie not to be missed and one may even go so far as to consider it a milestone of its genre. Even though you may find the whole thing a bit confusing at first, stick with it and soon all becomes clear. A complex but engaging plot develops, incorporating many of the traditional themes of martial arts films (vengeance, a murdered master, honour, destiny etc). The fight scenes are stunning (think Bruce Lee crossed with the Matrix!) and original, bringing a freshness to this sometimes cliched formula. Allow yourself to be drawn in and like myself, you may well be dying to watch it all over again!
