How do you start with a film like this. It's either superflously cheesey, or superbly sublime. It's a cross between The Matrix, Enter the Dragon and any Jackie Chan Movie... no i do it discredit. I shall stop and start again...
It was really good. I liked it. Now i've secured a 'fairly good' rating i'll take it to pieces...
First mistake: Went into the video shop and picked up the video pictured above. Handed over my hard earned cash, and wandered into the great unknown (car-park) to discover it said sub-titles? Usually i would have just dealt with this, but it was monday. I was brain dead and recovering from a stupid weekend. This was no good. So went back and found the one with the white(ish) cover (dubbed) thinking that this would be a 70's style, badly dubbed pawn movie style of affairs. But at leaast i didn't need to read the plot...
2nd mistake: It wasn't badly dubbed at all! In fact i was amazed at how well it was done. They're obviously all pretending to be ventrilaquist dummies, but the overall effect is that you can't even notice that they've got someone's arm up their bum! -you don't notice at all after a few scenes.
3rd mistake: I've run out of mistakes i made (to do with this film anyway..)
At first i was confused by people flying everywhere, but once you've seen one of the fight scenes, you could almost believe that this was all possible and there were no wires anywhere.
This is a slightly cheesey film, but it is brilliantly done. The fight scenes are some of the best i've ever seen. The landscape, cinamatography and actresses are all beautiful! The plot is reasonably interesting, although hard to follow as everyone has the same hair colour and style (why do all eastern girls have amazing long black hair?) -i reckon the boy style haircuts would be next on the list for Beckham...
I enjoyed this thru and thru. The music was rich and dramatic throughout, although i imagine it wont make for a very good CD, (unless you want to meditate?) -if you haven't got one go and buy a big surround system cause it makes the difference...
Don't be put off by the fact this film is dubbed. It doesn't detract at all from the overall enjoyment. A very original, and beautiful film.

interesting title! I actually saw this at the cinema but regret not getting a good seat ...- I was sat right at the front and had to tilt my head to catch a glime of those flying scenes, may have to get it out on video as I thouroughly enjoyed it!

Poor punctuation and a lack of detail about the actual film contributed to the 'H' rating. Chris.

The thought of a dubbed film put me off too, but I think I might give it a go now, good review.
