I truly like martial arts films that tell a wonderful story. This film can be considered a classic. Director Ang Lee creates excellent heart- stopping scenes and the actors put tremendous effort into this film. Chow Yun Fat and Michelle Yeoh are great as the Giang warriors Li Mu Bai and Yu Shu Lien, but it is Zhang Ziyi as Jen Yu who shows poise as a woman determined to become a Giang Hu warrior and reunite with her lover, the mysterious Dark Cloud, played by Chang Chen. This is one film that has great storytelling and plenty of action. This film should get plenty raves at the Oscars for Best Film and Best Director. Until then, take care and enjoy the movies.
