Hogan's likeable, heroic and unworldly Aussie hero accompany his partner Sue (Linda Kozlowski, Hogan's real-life wife) to Los Angeles. There he finds himself wrestling with the niceties of the Californian lifestyle somewhat less easily than he wrestles with crocs back in the outback. Sue,meanwhile, uncovers a smuggling plot involving artworks from Yugoslavia. Dundee duly steps forward to go undercover and--with a bit of muscle and survivalist nous--saves the day.As anyone who sawEscape from LAwill testify, the moral here is: never make a sequel in Los Angeles. The kindest thing that can be said about this outing is that it is harmless. It exudes a family-friendly geniality throughout that almost makes its many flaws endurable--almost but not quite. Hogan--61 when he made this--makes for an embarrassingly implausible action hero, lacquered in trowel-loads of make-up to fill in the facial creases. The antipodean-abroad jokes are insultingly feeble; Dundee strolls into a gay bar by mistake, thinks the parking valet is a mugger, can't operate the remote control, etc. There's a cameo involving Mike Tyson that belongs nowhere and Kozlowski's performance only fuels suspicion that this is a husband and wife vanity project. If nothing else,Crocodile Dundee in Los Angelesis proof that Hollywood's alleged stony-heartedness is a myth, for it can only have been out of charity and benevolence to an elderly Australian thespian down on his luck that this movie was given the green light.On the DVD:Crocodile Dundee in Los Angelesis presented in anamorphic widescreen format with excellent image quality, bringing out the rich contrasts between the early outback scenes and the early establishing shots of sunlit LA. Enough is enough…Crocodile Dundee II was really struggling, but 15 years later here comes number three…Crocodile Dundee In Los Angeles.
I really didn’t want to go and see this but with nothing better to do and only one film per week at our so called cinema, it seemed better than nothing at the time…not so sure about that now however…
In attempt three, Mick Dundee (Paul Hogan), Hogan is beginning ... ...in fact he looks extremely old and wrinkley..ewww, and these attributes don’t really offer much appeal to his so called hunter role believe me.
His wife, screen partner Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowski), however seems to have improved with age, she looks damn good but I have a serious problem with her plummy false voice and it really irritates me every time she opens her mouth, which fortunately isn’t too often in this film. more

In attempt three, Mick Dundee (Paul Hogan), Hogan is beginning to show the tell tale signs of wear and tear, in fact he looks extremely old and wrinkley..ewww, and these attributes don’t really offer much appeal to his so called hunter role believe me.
His wife, screen partner Sue Charlton (Linda Kozlowski), however seems to have improved with age, she looks damn good but I have a serious problem with her plummy false voice and it really irritates me every time she opens her mouth, which fortunately isn’t too often in this film.
The difference in this film is that they suddenly have a son, Mikey who is 9, and he seems to have been drafted in to try and create more semi funny situations here and there.
There is also a cameo appearance by Mike Tyson, who looks totally ridiculous and out of place, what was he thinking of?
Now to the actual story, there is a slight one in there somewhere, Sue has to move back to Los Angeles temporarily to take over at her fathers newspaper after the suspicious death of the last chief editor.
The so-called plot unfolds slowly, very slowly indeed. Yawn.Some paintings that were previously thought to be destroyed are being smuggled by a bunch of rogues masquerading as a film company.
So now you get the picture, yes it’s the same concept as the previous 2 Dundee films, Dundee relies heavily on his less than bright Aussie outback upbringing to explore and try and make humour out of everyday modern situations.
These were once upon a time semi funny but now you know exactly what to expect it offers nothing fresh, such as a scene with Dundee in a Jacuzzi, trying to fathom out all the knobs and buttons and ending up opening all the blinds instead to be on full view of the outside street.
Or whilst slapping a fly on his face, he discovers that it operates the touch sensitive lamp, so yes you guessed it he proceeds to give his own face a good slapping to see it go on and off…zzzzzzz.
A wise move in this film was to bring along his outback rival and best friend Jacko (Alec Wilson ), into Los Angeles as his sons nanny.. They actually work well together and produce the only mildly humorous scenes in the film. The pair set off to explore Los Angeles and experience a drive in burger joint, a gay bar and the yes you have seen this all before, their own unusual way of dealing with a car full of muggers who try to rob them.
Now this film unfortunately is a whopping 2 hours 16 minutes and boy did it feel like it!, what actually surprised me was the seemingly new concept of trying to make it a lot more non comedy and seemingly more serious than its predecessors, this was a really bad mistake as it did not work or help the film in any way shape or form.
Long drawn out scenes of these feeble attempts at being a serious film, were well boring to say the least and I found myself switching off frequently and daydreaming instead until something remotely interesting happened to bring me back down to earth.
In Fact I was actually wondering just what age range this film was aimed at, being a PG it would seem for all ages but children only appreciate humour or something easy to understand and follow, and with the humour being sparingly dotted throughout this, the rest of it was plain dreary and complex for them to comprehend.
The adults find the humour too silly to even laugh at and the rest of it just too boring for words.
The Dundee hunter animal expertise has had its day, although thumbs up to the cute chimpanzee that was actually the best actor in the film! Hogan is just too old by far to carry on with these films, even after getting a new director Simon wincer of the Free Willy family offerings; he doesn’t offer the film anything fresh in any way. It is simply a rehash of the previous Dundee offerings the first graced our screens 15, yes 15 years ago, so now you know how old he must be!
However I can just picture it in a few years time, Hogan Zimmer frame in tow, trying to churn out yet more drivel…
So you can tell I do not recommend you go and see this film, well not unless you are extremely bored or there is nothing else to see, give this one a miss.
On a brighter note, Whitby’s offering next week is * A Knights Tale*…so watch this space…
Advantages: The memories of the 80's Disadvantages: Most everything
...two pretty big films with Crocodile Dundee and Crocodile Dundee II, both featuring the adventures of Mick Dundee and his hot American lover. Linda K-Something. They were passably good and eminently watchable, but an awful lot of water has passed under the Sydney Harbour Bridge since those days and nowadays Paul Hogan is strictly yesterday's man.
The lure of the filthy lucre can excite even such rude talents as Hogan, however, and it wasn't really ... ...hewn charms of Oz's greatest crocodile hunter, Mick Dundee. What was something of a surprise was how long it took Hogan to get down and get with it once more and lift the man from the outback into the classy realms of Beverley Hills.
The popularity of the two films made it certain that CD3 was going to have a good run for our money, but it was equally certain that Hogan was going to be trying nothing new, sticking to the well proven formula of Tarzan ...

The original Crocodile Dundee movie was made somewhere around the mid-80s and, well in my opinion at least, it was absolutely hilarious. The sequel carried the idea a bit further and was still pretty funny but the idea was already beginning to feel a little stale. Paul Hogan, the star oof the movie vowed that he would never do another Crocodile Dundee movie as a result of this. Well, its amazing how a flagging career can change someone's mind with ... ...the whole thing. Crocodile Dundee was a great movie and remains a great movie no matter how many times you watch it. Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles is an absymal movie and will also remain so no matter how many times you watch it. If I said it was cr*p, I would be doing it a favour, it goes beyond that. In fact, its probably the worst 'funny' movie I have seen for a long time. 1 star seems overly generous... ...

Advantages: Comedy gags a plenty Disadvantages: Less Croc and more Private eye
When I first heard about Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles I got quite excited as I really enjoyed the first two Crocodile Dundee films. However when I first watched this I was quite disappointed but on reflection is not too bad.

=======
Mick Dundee and Sue Charlton have been living together in Australia for about ten years and they have a son called Mikey but they are not married. The Characters
============
Michael J "Crocodile" Dundee - Paul Hogan

The characters have not really changed since the original films however they have aged and since they have a child they have a more responsible feel to them.
Jacko is a very funny character he seems to ...
