Out of all the millions of people in the Western world there are a few who have tremendous imaginations. They must have to think up the story line for Critters. I mean who could possibly dream up balls of fur with very, very sharp teeth with an appetite to rival that of a shark and then let them loose on humanity? I suppose that you could equate them to the famous Tribbles of Star Trek except this lot had attitude.
Well somebody did and the result was Critters, and a few sequels, to try and scare the pants off people.
Escaping from some far off planet these little bundles of cute fur, until they open their mouths, try to eat their way out of the American mid west by devouring every living thing in their path. But the world can relax because they are pursued by two intergalactic bounty hunters who with the help of a young kid called Brad send them all to wherever Critters go once they are no more. Except right at the end you see one Critter skulking away into a corner. I'll swear I saw it wink.
