Stephen Herek's CRITTERS was released in the summer of 1986 and was immediately jumped upon as a genuine pastiche of the old B-movie horrors of the 50s; but is it a good film?
An asteroid somewhere in outer-space is home, or prison, to some very nasty creatures who manage to escape when they hijack a spaceship. They crash land on Earth, in a small American town, and soon start wreaking havoc amongst the community, first on a cow and then on a farm. Meanwhile, intergalactic police are on their trail. They send to Earth two bounty hunters who have the ability to morph into anything they see fit, one a famous rock star and the other of various disguises, to aid them in their hunt of the increasingly deadly critters.
I remember enjoying this low-budget film much more the first time round but, if truth be told, I still somewhat ...

Advantages: Laughably scary Disadvantages: Makes you look at cuddly toys in a new light
Out of all the millions of people in the Western world there
are a few who have tremendous imaginations. They must have to
think up the story line for Critters. I mean who could
possibly dream up balls of fur with very, very sharp teeth
with an appetite to rival that of a shark and then let them

sequels, to try and scare the pants off people.
Escaping from some far off planet these little bundles of cute
fur, until they open their mouths, try to eat their way out of
the American mid west by devouring every living thing in their
path. But the world can relax because they are pursued by two
intergalactic bounty hunters who with the help ...

Advantages: Easy to clean, light-weight, add-ons Disadvantages: Some parts are easy to chew
. The one we have is purple and green. I like the fact that when the critter has been using the wheel if its had an accident all spillage are caught in the wheel runners. All i do is spray the runner with dissinfectant and easily wipe out the mess. The cage is easily expandable with options of further purchasing add-ons for this product. I am quite nervous of these critters so the petting zone comes in really handy for cage cleaning times which means i dont need to handle the actual pet itself.
The only downfall this product does have is that within 2 days the gerbil had started to gnaw and eat the plastic spiral slide, so this was removed. The gerbil can stil easily access its wheel by climbing up the cage bars to the wheel tunnel.
