Hi, my name is Gaz Hutchinson and I live in England. I am a full time internet marketer and make my living through affiliate programs. I like all kinds of music especially 60s and 70s and (English) 70s punk and new wave.

I loved Cream's output in their brief career. Although together for only two and a half years in the 60s they made some of the best blues/rock music of all time.
I was a little concerned that they reformed 37 years later - what was the motivation and could they capture their incredible stage presence? I needn't have worried. The sound is awesome, the playing and singing better and stronger than the 60's, and with technology moving on the songs sound immense!
The main question I had was would Clapton go back to his 60s era Gibsons or stick to his Fender Strat which has become his signature instrument. I was disappointed when I saw the trusty Strat appear, how could he hope to get the "proper" Cream sound without a Gibson? I needn't have worried. OK it may sound different to the trained ear - but different is sometimes just as good!
Jack Bruce is also on fabulous form with his vocals, harmonica and bass playing. Ginger Baker plays like only he can. A drummer friend of mine rates this as one of the best drumming performances he's ever seen.
The DVD is a compilation of the best takes from 4 nights at The Albert Hall, London, recorded 2-6 May 2005 and moves along pretty seamlessly with the feel of one show.
Most of what you expect to hear is on the DVD (with the noteable exceptions for me being I Feel Free and Tales of Brave Ulyses) - so you have Sunshine of Your Love, White Room, Badge, Spponful, Born Under a Bad Sign and more. And a fantastic inclusion of Ginger Baker singing Pressed Rat and Warthog.
Anyone that likes Cream on record (or is that CD and MP3 nowadays) will love this double DVD. It is a reminder of what 3 musicians at the height of their collective powers can produce on stage.
There are few extras, interviews and alternative tracks - but frankly it doesn't matter. Just turn it up loud and enjoy!

This is a useful review and, as your comments echo my feelings, I am bound to be a little biased! Thanks also for writing in decent English rather than the now-ubiquitous text drivel. I for one appreciate it!
Best wishes,
Tom
