Advantages: Insightful, honest, gritty, great acting, unpredictable

Advantages: Great acting, cast and storylines
Disadvantages: Jumps from story to story, ending

...is police officer John Ryan whos dad (Bruce Kirkby) is suffering from an illness which his son is struggling to get treatment for. Terrence Howard and Thandie Newton play a movie guy and his wife who suffer a racial attack at the hands of Matt Dillon. There is also another story surrounding a film being made which links to these characters. Other stories relate around a locksmith, a shop owner and other police officers one of whom is Det. Graham Waters played by Don Cheadle. His story starts at the beginning of the film with a car crash and he is linked to several of the other characters along the way. The film is set in LA over 2 days and brings to light the racial prejudices and stereotypes that are common in modern life. Some of the scenes are shocking, particularly a scene about a young girl.
