Advantages: An amazing storyline, sweet, cute, sad everything you want in this kind of film! Disadvantages: The changes from the book...I wouldn't watch after just reading the book!!
...I read the book PS Iloveyou by Cecilia Ahern a good few years ago now, and loved it so much, and when the film came out, I was at first very excited, and then decided I didn't want to watch it since most of the time the film of books ruins the story!
So I didn't go watch it, but I was disappointed that I hadn't when I heard peoples reviews on the film, but by that time it was too late, and I had to buy it if I wanted to watch it, but as a poor student, I didn't have money to waste on DVDs. So my only thing to do was to wait until it came back on the movie channels...
it had been so long since I had read the book that the story really wasn't in my head anymore, apart from I knew that the story revolved around a man and wife, the man dying of a brain tumour and the wife been left to get over him.
Holly and Gerry have been...

Advantages: Weirdly funny Disadvantages: Basically a really stupid film
...Here you are, a short, unattractive, now rather elderly man who's never made a truly great film in his life, but has somehow acquired the reputation of a legend. All Hollywood wants to be in your movies. Beautiful film stars are queueing up to play your love interest, despite being nearly a foot taller than you. You have but to mention a new idea for a film, and the finance comes flooding in. Given all this, it would be hardly surprising if you wanted to know just how far you could go. Just how ridiculous can your movie ideas be? How many ludicrous things can you ask your cast to do before they say no? Just what, in short, will you be allowed to get away with?
Now, I am not Woody Allen (sorry to disappoint, and all that) but I reckon that if this movie is anything to go by, he's been having similar thoughts. It is, to be frank, quite...

Advantages: FANTASTIC STORY WHICH PULLED AT THE HEART STRINGS! Disadvantages: GERARD BUTLERS IRISH ACCENT WAS A BIT DODGY IN PLACES!
...I'm not a huge fan of love stories so was a little reluctant to see this (I wanted to see Gerard Butler in a completely different role to the one he played in 300). I was pleasantly surprised by this film which has been adapted from the best selling book. Fantastic stoyline with superb performaces by the leading actors - not forgetting the brilliantly played supporting roles by Harry Connick Jnr, Kathy Bates & the Irish bloke who plays William!
It tells the tale of how Hillary Swanks character loses her husband (Butler) to a brain tumour. On her 30th birthday she receives the first of many pre-written letters from her dead husband (which he arranges to be sent after his death) which takes her on a funny and heart warming trail which eventually leads her to finding love again.
Anyway, this is a must see movie which particularly...
