Cool Runnings is based on a true story based on 4 Jamacians wanting to be the first Jamcian Olympic Bobsleighing team,the are all athlet's with one impossible dream.....to become a bobsled team but as Jamaica is a very hot country there will be no snow or ice around for them to compete on. they ask everyone around Jamicia like the big buisnesses to sponser them to help fund for the money to send them to participate in the sport but no-one takes them serisously due to the weather conditions....after some time they come across a photo with one of the team members father who is stood with who was a champion bobsleigher (John Candy - Uncle Buck) back in the day but was disqualified from the olympics, so they go in search and beg him to coach the team to make them compertition material,after gentle pursuasiton he agrees to take the team on and coaches them all the way through to the olympics. Working as a team and becoming really good close friends the build a relationship between them all and they rise to the challange and eventually become heros. this film is full of joy and laughter, even intensity at some points making you think they will never make it,its full of surprises to.
i really enjoyed watching this film as it is one you can sit down with your family or friends and watch and laugh to.All the characters are played by amazing people who get right into the roles they are playing.There are some magnifisent effects,sounds and lighting in this film
